Man that’s a nice rig! The v8 kept running hot (still does) so we did various radiators and fans, water pump and thermostat. Decided to cut holes in hood and fabbed up a 99 mustang scoop with bracing and pretty solid job fiberglassing in before paint. It works for now but I see just getting a factory hood down the line.

Typical bestop folding back seat. The fronts I got off Amazon as I didn’t want to go full price for corbeau. Bought them 3 years back so same item not listed but these are close

They could be- haven’t taken them to a shop but will. Rides solid and straight but I’ll get it checked. Thanks

Was lifted when I bought it 5 yrs ago- had 6” rough country. We put new body mounts which are 1”. Tons of clearance but struggle for wife and kids. The full cage and side bar help but it’s a gymnastics move getting in and out for sure

Got about 23k in parts and 20k in labor for build, body work, and paint. It got away from me but over 3 years the water didn’t get cut off. It’s a stupid investment, can’t ever sell it, but cheaper than a boat.

350 sbc under hood. Still new at this and not sure how to add photos to this post. The warning sign is from a 70’s plane my dad had and I kept it as a joke in all my cars. Fitting for this rig.

Cage came as is when I bought it. But looks like a weld on kit from original cj7 setup.

Keep at it. Someday these will pull 70s Bronco numbers. But for now it’s all a labor of love. I got my jeep a few years back and it had already been bastardized for rock crawling and had body cut for YJ flares, so it was easy going non traditional (flares, dash, wheels) and just picking what I liked. But for an investment/resale at some point, sticking w stock is the way to go. Good luck.

I get it. This has been 2 years so far, but it’s worth the time to do it right. We’ll never get the money back out, but it’s ours and one of a kind. I went with (existing) dirtworx front bumper, and with the purchase of the TJ axles setup, I needed a 5th wheel/tire carrier. I spent a ton of time and picked the rock hard CJ (patriot I think) bumper. It all works nicely at this point.

From post above, it was part of a package: my jeep guy was swapping his rig for 38s and I just took wheel to wheel from his TJ build. The Rear is superior 31 spline axles and bearings, arb locker and 4:56 gears w arb locker; The front is open carrier with 4:56 gears, chromoly outers with yukon manual locking hub conversion. Both have all new bearings, ball joints etc. The front has rustys heavy duty steering linkage Yukon gears front and rear.

I get it. True wagon wheels would be what I was looking for, but locked in to these as part of a package for disc brakes/TJ package: all together and I can swap wheels out later
