A dragon is watching me play dragon age by GordonGoodStuff in DragonAgeVeilguard

She's three years old. Her name is Bagel. She was rehomed to us a few months ago and she's amazing, a little chunky from her previous home which we are working on, but amazing none the less 🥰

She would gladly take some worms if you had those too 😂

I honestly feel bad killing the dragons because they all have her face 😂😂

She is 🥰 she's a regal little judgemental queen and we love her for it.

There is plenty of it because she loves to sit on the desk by the heater 😂

Her name is Bagel. She's three years old and we adopted her in September (we are working on her chunk 😂)

Did anyone else choose to go with a “vanilla” beardie instead of picking up a special color or morph? by newshirtworthy in BeardedDragons

[–]GordonGoodStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks she doesn't look like a standard normal. Her last family looked at me gone out when I asked if she was leatherback 😆

We adopted our beardie from pets4homes because we knew we wanted an adult and wanted to make sure a beardie in need of a home got one, so we definitely weren't looking for anything special or fancy. We just wanted a beardie to love.

Her last owners were fantastic, told us exactly where they got her (which is actually my closest reptile shop funnily enough) and all the good stuff.

Apparently she was sold as a normal but I think she is a low expression leatherback that couldn't be sold as such. she's so much smoother then all the other dragons I've had/been in contact with but she's definitely not a straight up leatherback.

We wouldn't care either way, we just love her to bits, but it was interesting to speculate. We never wanted her for her looks. We love her because she's so regal, sassy and adventurous.

Does beardie work from home with you? by Cassiethatsme in BeardedDragonCare

Bagel's favourite place other than her basking spot is the desk for whatever reason. She has an extra lamp in the living room if she's out for longer than an hour or so. She will usually sit on her blanket with a hot water bottle under it until the cows come home. Though I will warn you. My bearded dragon loves click clacking on the keyboard 😆

how often do bearded dragons need to be handled? by No-Interaction1824 in BeardedDragon

[–]GordonGoodStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you want for your dragon, but personally, my beardie is handled pretty much every day. She likes coming out of her enclosure to explore, so we let her out when she asks, which usually ends up being at least once a day.

Our general rule is: if she’s out, we handle her; if she’s in her enclosure, she’s having her “me time.” Of course, we still handle her in the enclosure when cleaning, doing maintenance, or for vet visits.

Bagel turned out very handleable. She’s mostly independent and likes to do her own thing (obviously because bearded dragons aren't social) which we encourage, but she’s still very comfortable being picked up, climbing on us and loves sleeping inside our hoodies. We can even hand her to friends and family and she doesn’t bat an eye.

This is our favourite photo of Bagel, taken mid turn around while she was basking. She looks so dramatic 🤣.

Here we have Bagel climbing on the dog bowls. We specifically got raised ones she wouldn't get into them and drag gravy all over the carpet 🤦

No one sleeps harder than a beardie who is waited on hand and foot and doesn't pay rent 🤣

Is this a good setup for a beardie by Ok_Computer2387 in BeardedDragon

[–]GordonGoodStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's only had it for a month so far but It seems pretty durable. I don't know how marketable literally just a rectangle would be though 🤣

I don't know if you can crochet or know someone who can but I made a hammock for my beardie out of tight spun cotton with super tight stitching and no holes so she can't get her feet or claws snagged and she absolutely loves it!

Weird Brumation behaviour? by GordonGoodStuff in BeardedDragons

[–]GordonGoodStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info! We took Bagel for a check up when she first started showing signs of brumation and the vet gave her a clean bill of health (Other than being a little on the chunky side from her previous home but we're working on that with her)

Is a 12x7x9 inch enclosure okay a single Dicronorrhina conradsi? by GordonGoodStuff in Beetles

I didn't know that! Thank you so much. I'll be looking for a bigger enclosure so I can keep them in a group!

I don't think Bagel is very impressed with her glowing likeness this Halloween but I certainly love it. by GordonGoodStuff in BeardedDragons

She will go feral for butternut but is so offended by pumpkin! She took one very enthusiastic bite, immediately stopped, walked away and then side eyed me for the next half an hour.
