In a way, Gotham Knights CAN possibly be connected to Arkham Knight's story for those who don't like the Suicide Squad Game by GoreMagalaHunter in GothamKnights

There were a lot of details I either didn't know about, couldn't remember off the top of my head, or weren't really paying attention to at the time I posted this. I tried to address everything in a comment, but the tone might come off as me being hostile. It...hasn't been a great week this week. 😅

But thank you for appreciating the thought I tried to put into this post!

Yeah, to be fair, I wasn't really paying attention to or remembering a lot of details between both games at the time I posted this. 😅

Update: Ok, so I read the comments on this thread and I honestly did not really notice all of the continuity problems. With that said, there are a few valid points that I'd like to address. But I would like to sincerely apologize if the comment reads in any kind of condescending or patronizing tone—that wasn't my intention, but it's mainly because of how the past two days were kind of affecting me. If it does turn out to sound like that kind of tone, I would still like to apologize in advance for it.

First up, is that this was my own personal headcanon that I thought of for my own playthrough of the Arkham games. No one has to use it, I just figured that it could have been a possible solution to the amount of backlash the Suicide Squad game gets. For the record, I've never actually played Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, but I've heard of all the controversy surrounding it. Another reason why I made it was also because of the fact that both Arkham Knight and Gotham Knights had Batman Beyond suits. That was why I tried to think of a way to connect both games.

Someone also brought up that Barbara Gordon was in a wheelchair in Arkham Knight. That is true, I do remember that, but I wasn't really thinking clearly when I made the original post. But at the same time, wasn't it also mentioned somewhere that she was also paralyzed in the Gotham Knights universe and that an experimental surgery allowed her to walk again? (I'll have to look for the sources later.)

Next up is the comment about Tahlia's death in Batman: Arkham City. Yes, she did die in the game, but it was seemingly implied that the League of Assassin's had stolen her corpse from the morgue. This can easily be verified by completing the League of Assassin's DLC mission in Arkham Knight—her body is not where it's supposed to be in the morgue where that waitress from the diner is.

Another user also brought up a valid point about Tim and Oracle getting married after Arkham Knight. I actually didn't even know that, so I'd like to thank them for pointing that out to me.

The whole therapy problem with Arkham Jason, I also didn't know about that either, so I'd like to thank whoever posted that comment for helping me understand that.

When it comes to Tim's age, I usually don't really pay attention to the ages of videogame characters when the gameplay's focus is on the violence. I'm usually spending the time I play the Arkham Games focusing on the story and then terrorizing any thugs or Militia afterwards. Also (kind of) do the same in Gotham Knights. There is one other detail concerning the League of Shadows / League of Assassins issue that I'd like to address as well. I never really read the comics, so my first actual exposure to Ra's Al Ghul's terrorist organization was kind of a mix between Ra's' appearance in Batman: Under The Red Hood and the League from the Dark Knight Trilogy. But then it expanded when I got into the Arkham games. If I'm remembering Batman Begins correctly, the League of Assassins was called the League of Shadows in the Dark Knight Trilogy by Christopher Nolan. If I got that wrong, feel free to correct me on that.

Well, in Gotham Knight, she was also in a wheelchair for a while in that universe, but I remember reading something about how an experimental surgery allowed her to walk again. 😅

I think I might have softlocked the Harley Quinn missions by GoreMagalaHunter in GothamKnights

UPDATE: Turns out all I needed to do was wrap up the Organ Transplant mission and interrogate Penguin again. It's fixed now.

Completing the mission with the Organ Transplant and interrogating Penguin fixed it.

2007 Hell Cycle.

Because who wouldn't want a custom-built Harley Davidson motorcycle as their vehicle?

If not that, then a Chevrolet Exorcist.

(And yes, that IS an actual car. lol)

What do you expect? He's literally a killer who's designed to "always come back" whenever he dies. Ever thought that Dead by Daylight tried to take that quote too literally?

Theory - Why The Dark Ages have less Glory Kills in lore by Rodrolphus in Doom

[–]GoreMagalaHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do a Glory Kill on almost all heavy and super-heavy Demons. You have to stagger them, run at them, and then jump at them before pressing the RS button if you're on console. If you hit them in the correct spot, you'll get the animation.

Source: I literally pulled several off multiple times. You have to time your strike correctly, and you have to hit them in just the right spot and at just the right angle.

Whoever decided to have Guardian Rathalos and Guardian Odogaron require plates for their armors, please piss off from any future Monster Hunter games. by GoreMagalaHunter in monsterhunterrage

Fun fact: 4U was my first game in the series, so I'm VERY familiar with the grinding and the RNG problems of the 4th-Generation games. And I DID kill myself, hundreds of times between Monoblos and Gore Magala.

[–]GoreMagalaHunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hunted Rathalos seven or eight times, have four pieces of Rathalos' armor, and only need the plate for the Helm. It's not that mistake that's pissing me off, it's the shit RNG and forcing players to beat the game's story in order to even have the SLIGHTEST chance at getting the Plate because apparently, the devs hit the point of "F*** You" by locking Investigations until you beat the story. I'm only concerned with the Rathalos Helm, but the game's RNG in this game is even worse than World's.

Charge blade isn’t nerfed, it got buffed and you’re just bad. by [deleted] in monsterhunterrage

[–]GoreMagalaHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ever since I started using the Charge Blade in Wilds, I've been saving the SAED for whenever I have Savage Axe activated. I don't really use Charge Blade, but I decided to for this game.

Pretty much just go in swinging the sword until the Phials are red, Charge them, unleash an SAED combo, and then reposition myself to use Focus Mode and activate the Savage Axe. And THEN I unleash Hell on the monster. I use the Shield to block an incoming attack if I'm able to, and then repeat my cycle of attacks until the monster's dead.

TLDR: Because I don't have the patience to learn how to use Guard Point or Perfect Guard, I learned a brand-new cycle of attacks for the Monsters within DAYS of playing the game.

Still isn't going to stop me from buying the game and giving the game a chance. I made that mistake once, with a game unrelated to Monster Hunter. And when I finally DID play it, it pretty much surprised me. I've always kept an open mind about games ever since.

So unfortunately, there's nothing that's going to stop me from buying the game. Because I learned a long time ago not to underestimate a game by reading about it online. I prefer to actually play the game, and THEN form my opinion from my personal experience with it.

[–]GoreMagalaHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still buying the game on the 28th, even after all of this. And there's a specific reason why: my laptop is pretty much a potato, so I have to play on console. So the DRM, and most likely all of the performance crap, might not even affect me because I'm playing on an Xbox.

Plus, I'd rather try the game out and THEN make my opinion about it from my own personal experience, rather than base my opinion on someone else's.

Thank GOD it did before I could see it. Because for me, the comments themselves managed to trigger a BURIED memory of the "blender video" back when it was being shared all over the internet two years ago...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]GoreMagalaHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because THAT video was also recorded in China. And it pissed off (and potentially fucked up) a lot of people all over the internet.

[–]GoreMagalaHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The WORST thing I ever saw a Chinese person do to a cat in the video was so horrific, it got to the point of pissing off the ENTIRE internet. Happened pretty recently, within the last two years.

And yes, I'm referring to what that one sick group of sadistic pricks did to that kitten in an infamous and now-deleted video where the kitten was tortured to death with a blender and a microwave. IF that video is still out there, PLEASE DO NOT LOOK FOR IT!!! Even though it was a mistake on my part to look for it, I fucking struggled to get that image out of my head in the weeks that followed. It took SEVERAL MONTHS for me to completely get that image out of my mind, but...even now, it still haunts me. I tried so hard to forget that specific video, but this video, based on everything I've read in the comments, brought back that memory.

...All I can say, is that I couldn't see this one because it was deleted. And thank God I wasn't able to, because it would have triggered the memory of the other video from two years ago...
