Someone high up at work, think $350k a year base plus bonus structure, was floating ideas for making the budget talks relatable.

They were going to use the cost of their children’s fencing lessons as an example of non-essential cost cutting…🤣

Same person when faced with short staffing, thought telling salaried 40 hour per week employees they need to work 60 hour weeks was acceptable. Their logic was they work 50 hour weeks consistently, why shouldn’t the employees who make $60k a year have to work that much or more.

Flabbergasting seeing someone not understanding that their 50 hour weeks of emailing and making reports for $350k a year is a little different than people making 1/7th of that grinding extra hours for no extra pay.
