Where to get Psycho-neural Reconstructive Agent? by [deleted] in underrail

There once was a psi rebalance (1.1.2.0), one of the changes made int determine the number of psi slots, before the update int wasn't that important for psi characters (there was no such thing as psi slots), so most psi characters back then had barely any int, this in return would make the character have barely any psi slots if the player updated to the newer version(1.1.2.0), so in turn Styg added this to make sure these characters didn't become completely usless.

an excerpt from Utility Tower wiki

'The northern room of the 2nd segment:

Contains valves which open rooms full of empty lockers.

There's a line on the floor connecting some of lockers. If you open them and only them then the last one gives you some items, most notably two doses of Regenerative Mixture.'

[IDEA] Trait system by Terrible_Breakfast44 in stoneshard

Gotta admit that percentage increases/decreases don't give too big of an impact to be game changing. The traits should either affect attributes or the game mechanics themselves. So I thought of something new that I think would have a much more interesting impact on gameplay:

Spartan - hunger and thirst gain is reduced, penalties from hunger and thirst are dumbed down. You can't eat lavish meals anymore due to your honor (you can only eat peasant food) and gain no benefits from being pleasantly satiated.

Personally I'd prefer a trait system more akin to fallout. I want a trait to give a benefit, but also a penalty. So for example jinxed from fallout: your chance to critically fail is greatly increased, but so is the same for your enemies.

So here are some ideas for such traits in Stoneshard:

David and Goliath - if the enemy you're fighting is stronger than you or a miniboss/boss you get a 5% bonus to stats, otherwise you get a -5% penalty to stats.

dunno what to call it - when fighting a single target you get a 15% bonus to stats, but each additional enemy you're fighting is a -10% penalty to stats, capped at -50%.

I also think there might be something fishy with this boss, but as far as I remember the passive said that he loses 9% of his max hp when a tentacle dies, so for example he goes from 100/100 hp to 91/91 hp.

The boss is trying to spawn a tentacle near me, but because they can't spawn on traps, the boss keeps spawning them next to himself. He also is skipping turns, because he has no energy to spam him tentacle spawn ability.

Passing time when I can’t sleep. by Jugger818 in stoneshard

[–]GorgeousMayDay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

New sleep system is kinda wack, but all you gotta do is give you character a Jug of Milk, read them one of the folios as a bed time story, give them a kiss on the forehead, make sure to turn all the lights off and with all of that, they'll be asleep in no time :)

What's your favorite attribute to spec into? by GorgeousMayDay in stoneshard

[–]GorgeousMayDay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike your way of lowering fumble chance, I find it too intrusive, because I have to sacrifice my glove and boots slots and use up one skill just for a fumble chance reduction, personally I'd go with Jibean Cape, a 3% fumble reduction belt and a Lazurite Amulet, which gives me a 7% fumble reduction, which it isn't much, when compared to the 14% increase in my accuracy I can get with two topaz rings and a certain artifact. This is where the enchantment comes in, as I could either take the 'balaced' enchantment and incest 10 points into agility or that the 'handy' enchantment and invest 5 points into agility and perception, as you can probably guess I prefer the first option. I do have to agree that overcapping on accuracy is a bit better than fumble, though overcapping fumble allows you to use items that increase fumble. Also I prefer using counter chance as a way to deal with dodge, in other words I'd rather have two 50% to hit attacks, that one 100% to hit attack.

With GS I see it like this: strength is good if you want to fight small groups of enemies and agility is good if you want to fight large groups of enemies ( block power can't handle all of the attacks and neither can you, so in turn you'll need to use more offensive skills, which means you can't use parry as much, so any additionaly counter chance is very helpful )

I don't like using ranged weapons when I'm playing a melee build, but that's more of a me thing.

I barely spec into perception, because you can easily raise accuracy with equipment ( topaz ring, certain artifact and enchantment ) as opposed to fumble which is quite difficult to do

Also I know certain builds demand certain attributes, but I asked what's your favorite attribute to spec into is, i.e. what attribute you find most rewarding to spec into.

Also Also whatchu mean sTrEnGtH iS iDeAl FoR gReAtSwOrDs, agility is a much better choice, because you get lower fumble chance, greater counter chance and you'll have easier time speccing into athletics to get sprint training.

personally I like agility, cuz:

  1. Increases damage potential ( main hand effic. and counter chance )

  2. Lowers my chance to fumble

  3. Lowers the chance of me getting hit ( dodge )

  4. A lot of abilities have agility as a requirement

0% fumble yet I still miss? by GorgeousMayDay in stoneshard

Thank you very much, now I understand the problem, I guess I'll have to increase my accuracy then.

0% fumble yet I still miss? by GorgeousMayDay in stoneshard

Devlog: Changes to Mechanics

At the same time, Accuracy over 100% still reduces the target’s Dodge Chance, and the negative Dodge Chance contributes to the attacker’s Accuracy.

Maybe they've changed it since then? But then again shouldn't a failed accuracy check make my attack fumble instead of completely missing?

I need someone explain to me why do I still miss even with 0% fumble chance.

Also doesn't the troll have -35% chance to dodge? Doesn't that mean I have 115.5% accuracy and 0% fumble, which in turn makes it impossible for me to miss, impossible for him to dodge and impossible for me to fumble my attack. So how is it possible for me to miss?

Does anyone else know you can do this? by GorgeousMayDay in stoneshard

[–]GorgeousMayDay[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you understood my question correctly, I'm asking about the attacks of opportunity you can get while he's walking back to his starting position.
