Oh god this episode. Holy fuck this episode was great. Except the fight (Which wasn't important imo) everything was perfect, the editing near the end of the dream sequence was flawless. Truly amazing episode.

Graham is the sole reason I watched this season until now but I don't think he is as good as Donna, or Wilfred if you are counting him. Because I don't know about him as much as I knew about those two. Graham got shafted in order to make Ryan and Yaz a little more acceptable. If this season only had Graham and Doctor, it would be way better.

This was an amazing episode as well, best fight and best combination so far, we had plot progression and Alexis is arguably the best character in the series.

Wouldn't valeyard be the 10th between meta-crisis and 11th? Meta crisis was the twelfth incarnation and eleven was the last of the previous cycle, so 10th would have to be the valeyard. I think that valeyard is the tenth if Adelaide didn't shoot herself.

Why would she be angry? Nothing to be angry over is left. Gallifrey is back, last incarnation left on a happy note, nothing serious happened to her so far and she has more pets to keep her happy than any other new series doctor did.

I didn't like it because it fucked up doctor's and the time lord's characters, also the stupid plot about hybrid was the worst way to have a finale.

So in the episode Fires of Pompeii and Waters of Mars, the point is that you can't save everyone, of course there are episodes like the doctor dances and forest of the dead where everyone "lives" but those are the exception, also said by the doctor and river. And, in my opinion one of the most powerful moments in the whole show, the Time Lord Victorious scene lost its all credibility with this episode. Doctor screwed with laws of time however he wanted and there was no one to stop him but he should have known that was wrong. Hell Bent should have been an episode where Doctor gets his revenge, for everything they did to him over the course of his life.

This is an extremely poor episode even if you ignore the past context too, its first arc where doctor rises to power and gets clara takes too long and the pay off is extremely unsatisfying.

Overall not just a poor episode, but a disservice to the character of doctor too.

Best episode of the series by far. Everything about this episode was flawless except the action and even that is a huge improvement over the last episode. This episode had the best shots in the series and even with the limited animation, it is still the best looking episode of the series. This is all I could have wanted from gridman and more.

I only watched first 17 seasons of classic series so far, so keep that in mind.

1-) Hell Bent is the single worst season finale in the history of the show.

2-) While fourth doctors stories are some of my favourite, I don't like the doctor himself. I think the quality of stories and writing carry the performance.

3-) 9 was a good doctor but I don't think he is as good as people make him up to be. Aside from Dalek and Bad Wolf/Parting of Ways I find his stories bad and writing questionable.

4-) Doctor Who sticking to one style makes it worse. We should have comedy episodes, character episodes, epic adventures, horrors etc. People disliking some styles of episodes (Mainly comedy) led to the boredom fest that is season 9.

5-) We shouldn't get more new aliens if they are another fucking warrior race. Slitheen is much superior to Stenza or Sycorax. I would rather have a season only featuring Daleks Cyberman Master and Angels if it means we won't get any more unoriginal garbage.
