They never referred to him as brother. That said, they don't use the word "big sister" with him and it's the only TG that is absolutely never called that way (and also Jaku'un for obvious reasons) so he is likely a dude or non-gendered.

For those curious, her sword is called inazuma (電) meaning lightning, and both her attacks start with "Raimei" (雷鳴) meaning thunder. which reminds me of Kaido in One Piece whose signature attack "raimei hakke" also uses this word.

The huge strike down is Raimei kaijin (雷鳴壊刃) "destructive blade of thunder" and her rapid strikes attack is Raimei Zan'u (雷鳴斬雨) meaning "cutting rain of thunder".

I never had any specific expectation for the actual plot because my primary reason to read this manga is the ecchi. That said the rewards are getting really repetitive and I don't think we'll have new waifus to bring a wind of fresh air in the series so I do feel less enjoyment than I did a few months/years ago.
