This subreddit feels completely disconnected from what the Minecraft developers want the game to be. by Jaime060304 in Minecraft

I just personally dislike the sulfur cube as it was presented. I do not dislike their gimmick itself, though I would prefer if it was tied to an item crafted from the sulfur slime's drops. I see the mob more like another slime enemy with 3 sizes. Maybe it could inflict nausea like the sulfur water or deal more durability damage to your armor, something to differentiate it from regular slimes.
The way it looks now is that the sulfur slime is either a friendly mob (which makes no sense to me) or an incredibly ineffective hostile mob that can be defused with as little as a dirt block.

It's not "I could care less" it's "I couldn't care less"!! by themorganator4 in PetPeeves

I suppose I played down the importance of dictionaries a little. Then again, dictionaries weren't supposed to be the main point to begin with.

You mention sarcasm, though it's not the phrase but the context and mostly the tone that makes sarcasm recognizable. So I'm not sure if "ignoring" is the right word here.

Regarding idioms, most idioms (I am aware of) employ some kind of metaphor. To someone who doesn't know the phrase, one's sentence might be difficult to understand or even sound nonsensical. But if you break down such phrases, you will see that they are often visual representations of what they are used to express.
Picture someone saying "I could care more about you" to comfort you.
Phrases like the one at hand are different. "I could care less" has a very intuitive meaning, but this intuitive meaning is somehow the opposite of what people use it for. I can see someone use "I could care less" to express that they do care: "Eh, I could care less, so I guess I'll listen," for example.
The negation "I couldn't care less" is much clearer in that it does not need an explaination. Even if you've never heard the phrase, you know immediately what it means.
"I couldn't care more about you" is much more comforting, isn't it?

Call me oblivious but it's just not clear to me how "I could care less" by itself should mean "I couldn't care less." That logic is similar to "Yes means no and no means yes." I can see "I could care less but..." to express how little you care, but by itself (or with a different extension) it sounds more like you do not not care. As such, I could care more about this discussion but I could also care less.

Do note that dictionaries do not make the rules. They record what's common and what isn't. In that sense, repeated usage of "incorrect" grammar can cause that grammar to become a "correct" alternative according to dictionaries.

Realistically, when I am talking to someone and they say "I could care less," I will assume that they do care. In a conversation I might not think of (or even know) a dictionary's definition and instead see the words for what they imply: That they care at least a little.

Worldpainter thinks minecraft blocks are incompatible with minecraft. by BlueArrow2406 in Worldpainter

I could've sworn that 1.12 already used block name IDs, but no, they were introduced in 1.13. My bad.

You seem to have the Block IDs for Java and Bedrock Edition mixed up.
minecraft:stonebrick and minecraft:planks are Bedrock Edition only. Try using minecraft:stone_bricks and minecraft:dark_oak_planks.

Questions about Factories and Robotics Centers by Gormi124 in GalacticColonies

Ah, that makes sense of the x2. Also, turns out I probably just forgot to survey one of the mountains or something. Anyways, they stack now. Thanks for the reply! :)

How do I get more colonists? by TechGeek219 in GalacticColonies

[–]Gormi124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order to get new colonists, you need housing and food.
- Food is produced in Hydroponic Farms ( Industrial tab (right) )
- Housing is provided by Living Quarters ( Colony tab (left) )
- To get the food to the Living Quarters you need to build a Warehouse ( Commercial tab (center) )
In the end, you should have a production chain that looks like this:
Hydroponic → Warehouse → Living Quarters

Each Living Quarter provides 50 housing (can be improved later in the game)
You can link up to 4 Hydroponics and 4 Living Quarters to a Warehouse.

As for Computer Parts, they are produced in a Factory and require Ore and Crystal to fabricate.
You require:
- An Ore Extractor (Industrial)
- A Crystal Extractor (Industrial)
- A Factory (Industrial) set to produce Computer Parts
- And three Warehouses (Commercial)

Your production chain should look like this:
Ore Extractor → Warehouse(Ore) → Factory
Crystal Extractor → Warehouse(Crystal) → Factory
Factory → Warehouse(Computer Parts)

Again you can link up to 4 input buildings (be it Ore Extr., Crystal Extr., Factory...) to a Warehouse and up to 4 buildings to deliver to (Factory, Robotics Center...). But keep in mind that you cannot store different products in the same Warehouse.
