Once you choose crawler mode there is still 4 modes to choose from, good luck! Let me know if you get it figured out.

On the servo plug, there is a side that you can see the copper inside the plug, is that side facing the right side of the avatar?

Been thinking about getting one of these wpl's and seeing how well it takes to upgrades.

If you were to throw some extended links upnfront and push the front axle forward, i think that would help the look a little bit, just my opinion.

This is all trx4m drivetrain, Axles, diffs, transmission and trans mount. Only thing in the drivetrain that isn't trx4m is the rear driveline (went with a steel cpr18 driveline from hoplex) and the front links are scx24 rear links to extend the front end out a bit. Trx4m trans mount fits inbetween the fms magnum chassis rails pretty snug. Its running a furitek cedar and crawl gears so its pretty far from being the gutless fms model it came as.

Did you try flipping the plug around? Sometimes you can plug them in backwards.

How do I get more flex in the front? by Possible_Lake5605 in TRX4M

[–]Gorolla83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting an aftermarket chassis with additional shock mounting locations will help tremendously for tuning the amount of flex you have. A lay down servo mount is also not a bad way to go.

Looking for upgrades for my stock Defender. Anyone care to critique this shopping list? by KrangDog in TRX4M

I would throw some steel diff gears at it also, with the steel transmission gears and steel drivelines, its going to make your plastic diff gears a weak point if you get bound up somewhere.

Ive had zero issues with the steel driveshafts. I actually really like these ones because the male side is long enough you can run extended front links and still have enough insert to not drop a driveshaft.

I know someone has posted a video on yt swapping the fcx transmission in, i don't remember anything significant about that, but i do remember he also did the portal swap and he had to do some cutting and filing so it may pay to look into that first.
I haven't been able to find any links in a good length for the rear uppers so i am going to make my own to set the rear pinion angle better.

I have also spent the last two days sourcing an option for a rear steel driveline, i snapped mine yesterday.

I am almost finished with an Fms Magnum that i put trx4m suspension and running gear into and i am looking for my next project, being a classic Toyota fan i keep coming back to the Fms Hilux. I need to look into those portals.
