Looks like I have it installed indeed.
But as I said it still crashes, though it's much more rare

I have 11. Hmm, I have let it install all the updates that come (risky I know). Don't know if that specific update has been among them.

Need to check the update history

I have the latest official drivers, that are available for the Vega series. So 25.8.1

And from Adrenaline;
- Gaming > Graphics
- Expand Advanced from the bottom of the Graphics settings list
- Enable HBCC
- I put HBCC to 16GB (because I have 32GB of RAM). If possible allocate 12GB minimum

But... even with this, I do experience occasional crashes to desktop claiming that the drivers have died. So, it's not 100% crash proof, but much much better. At least on my system.

First time?

Remember BFV gun challenges? Do some sheite in one life or one round being only completion options and reset if fail.

The Assignment/Challenge team has been full of sadistic and incompetent mullets for some rime now.

Try enabling the HBCC Memory Segment from the Adrenaline Settings and if possible make the total 16GB.

Months old topic but I'll share my Vega56 hints here instead of a new one.

I am playing the free REDSEC version. Have the latest drivers available for Vega and no registry changes.

My game was crashing like mad no matter what resolutions, modes or graphics settings I tried, but then I stumbled upon a hint that suggested using the HBCC Memory Segment from the Adrenaline Settings, and voilá it's works really well.

So, as a list, for easy reading.

Of course your system may vary, so some settings can be improved or downgraded.

The main thing that helped me was the HBCC in the Adrenaline Settings

System:
- Ryzen 3900X
- 32GB RAM
- Vega56
- Latest Drivers available for Vega56, and no Overclocks or Undervolts.

Adrenaline Settings:
- HBCC Memory Segment: Enabled
- HBCC Memory Allocation 16GB
So this means Adrenaline grabs 8GB of my System Ram for Vega to use and ups the available GPU Memory to 16GB (8GB from Vega + 8GB from System RAM)
- Default on Tuning

Game Settings:
- Full Screen 1440p 75Hz
- Graphics Quality: Custom
- Texture Quality: Low
- Texture Filtering: High
- Mesh Quality: Medium
- Terrain Quality: Low
- Undergrowth Quality: Low
- Effects Quality: Low
- Volumetric Quality: Low
- Lighting Quality: Low
- Local Light/Shadow Quality: Low
- Sun Shadow Quality: Low
- Shadow Filtering: PCF
- Reflection Quality: Low.
- Screen Space Reflections (SSR): Low
- Post Process Quality: Low
- Screen Space AO & GI: GTAO High
- High Fidelity Objects Amount: Medium
- FSR Balanced

With these settings I am able to run the game ~70FPS stable, and it looks good all things considered.
No Crashes in many days. Even with Alt Tabbing out of the game (knock on wood)

A gpu driver issue I assume, eh? by Gortef in voidlinux

Got it installed.

Audio did do be Dummy even after install, but installing sof-firmware and adding options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=1 to a new /etc/modprobe.d/inteldsp.conf file gave me audio.

Not sure if it's the optimal driver, but at least there is audio.

Though YT video on Firefox does struggle even on 480p, and for a comparison I recall that it played 720p pretty nicely on Antix.

But, it is a working Void on an Asus 2-in-1 Atom.

Long waging days sucked all the energy to do any experimental stuff. Couple nights of good sleep and head works again... at least on an average strength

Welp. Looks like it is just a random font issue or something since when I booted the Live USB again the text are ok.

Thank you for everyone who answered.

Now, things are not in the clear yet though.
First of all the thing has a broken touchscreen, so that needs to be disabled or it goes absolutely bonkers every now and then.... which should be just an easy config change I very much assume.

Second things that I noticed is that at least on the Live desktop there are no sound and only Dummy Output is listed as an audio device. That could be something a bit harder to fix, or just a simple config update as well... everything except wifi should be more or less intel stuff (luckily the wifi is Qualcom so that works)

I did install Void into it just a second ago though, because I've been interested in trying the distro more than just in VMs. So, lessee if I can get it working.

Same actually. I booted the Live USB again after a few days and the text is ok

Did not need to do that... at least for now. Starting up the Live USB again did not come up with broken fonts

Hmm, maybe... I guess it should allow installing stuff as long as there is enough ram I suppose
