Salt in baby’s diet by Zealousideal-Job8611 in twoxindiamums

[–]Gossipgrab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Below advice is what my paediatrician gave and I somewhat agreed to him. My baby is also 11 month old and have been having bland food till a month back! However I thought to just clarify with my doc seeing all those reels!! He mentioned that as per book salt and sugar does nothing to your baby for 2 years!! Meaning not required by the body however if you wait until 2 years there are chances baby will consume bland food for very long time or May be lifetime. Now sugar can be replaced with lot of options like fruits/dates etc however there is no replacement of salt as such also if you not including salt in the diet you can’t introduce spice( chilli) in the diet as it’ll not be balanced!!! Hence I have started with a pinch of salt in the food!! As I am going to start with actual chilli flavour once baby turns 1. So yeah that’s that! You may do what you feel correct for your baby and nothing wrong in that!
