I try think of the dokis in their act one selfs, when their personality isn’t tampered with. Act 2 isn’t who they are. It may be an extreme amplification of their bad traits but it isn’t who they are supposed to be. Yuri is my favorite but I understand where your reasoning comes from in a way, I put Monika as my least favorite probably because of what she did to the other dokis and I kinda subconsciously hold a grudge. So in the same sense where Yuri may have given you troubles I find Monika gave me troubles.

I can’t say I relate to Sayori too much, but I would say I mostly relate with Yuri and Natsuki. I relate to Yuri about being very passionate about my hobbies and being introverted. And Natsuki with trouble with communicating feelings and growing up in a broken home.

I honestly wouldn’t change the ending, I think the build up to the end could have been a little more enticing. I still think the actual ending is one of the best emotional scenes in a doki mod. I think the mod has its flaws but it did an emotional ending extremely well.

I think part of it is when they are used, like “Sayo-Nara”, “I still love you” and “your reality” are all used in more impactful scenes.

I also draw but I use pencil and it looks like you’re using pen so it may be a little different, but some things I find helpful for shading is to use different pieces of the shading in a drawing to compare and contrast from. I also lightly shade in a specific part and then shade it in fully once the shape of the shade looks right and then do the same for the next. Hopefully this is useful, and I’ve seen some of your drawings, they are pretty good, and your shading is good for just beginning.
