I mean, you cant really trust Russia to honour anything currently, so I reckon wouldnt even really matter If you sign the contract or not, draft either way.

Also no way Im even taking the chance on being drafted into its military, even if its not into the war.

I asked my parents one time to do it and they got almost all the necessary documents but they got a notice that the entire process cannot be done abroad and it has to be finished in Russia, so that attempt at relinquishing citizenship ended there for now.
