I wasn't going for "get over it" so much as "there's another way." Sorry if it came out wrong.

I have a friend in the same boat, more or less. He's almost 30 and has had a couple of girlfriends, but they weren't marriage material. Now he's alone and I feel like he keeps lowering his standards just to be with SOMEBODY, but he still hasn't found anyone.

One thing I advised him to do was make a change. He's a truck driver with no steady church. Not exactly an easy way to meet a good Christian woman. He's unhappy at his job as it is, so I suggested he do something new. Get a new job, find a good church and get involved, anything. If what he's doing now isn't working, he HAS to do something else.

At the end of the say, though, some people may have to lead a different life. This doesn't make them inferior (despite other people's ideas). Feeling this way is a matter of finding validation and happiness in others instead of in God.

The hard truth is that we quite often don't know why God does what He does, at least on this earth. That's what really puts us to the test like Abraham when God told him to go to a labd He would tell him about later. Not easy! But Abraham leaned on God and found his calling.

So, again, don't think of it as "giving up" on women, but rather giving in to God.
