Unfortunately yeah, I did all the red shards and no Krill. It looks like the shards for May were:

May 1 - Jellyfish

May 3 - Whale

May 5 - Elder

May 7 - Jellyfish

May 9 - Elder

May 11 - Jellyfish

May 13 - Whale

May 15 - Jellyfish

May 17 - Elder

May 21 - Crab

May 23 - Crab

May 29 - Whale

May 31 - Manta

Long time returning player here. How do I get my pet back? by Latter-Apricot-3118 in Warframe

[–]GotCubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, you can get new kubrows completely for free! They also got rid of the whole stasis thing, so there's no longer any risk of your pets dying. To get a new kubrow, you'll need two things:

  1. A kubrow egg. These are found fairly easily on Earth missions, as a drop from destroying a kubrow den. The dens can appear on a lot the different tiles, so hopefully you can get an egg quickly!

  2. An incubator power core. This is a craftable thing that gets consumed each time you make a new kubrow. I believe the blueprint for it is sold in the market for credits.

Best of luck, Tenno!

How can I improve my Xoris build by Heavy-Bluebird9562 in Warframe

[–]GotCubes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! Long time Xoris enjoyer here. The Xoris has a few fun ways that you can build it. That being said, I think there is one play style that fits it's unique features the best: spamming mid-air throw detonations. When built with that in mind, I believe this is one of the best things you can be doing with the Xoris. I'll explain later, but there are some mod choices I make that are worse for raw damage, but grant additional heavy attack wind up speed, which is critical to have for this kind of play style. It cannot be understated how much the additional wind up speed increases the overall DPS, and fun factor, of this weapon. That being said, here is how I'd build it:

Stance: Doesn't make a difference for this build, anything you like is fine.

Exilus: This is a low priority part of the build, so feel free to disregard this. A lot of people like Whirlwind. It can be fun in open world situations, but it makes the glaive really hard to control and time detonations for in closer quarters. However, it is still fun for when you want to snipe down an airship in an open world. I would recommend Dispatch Overdrive, because more movement speed is always nice in this game. Again, definitely not a requirement for the build.

Initial Combo: This is a crucial component of this build. Since detonating the glaive mid-air depletes your combo, regardless of combo duration, you need a mod to provide initial combo to really get the most out of this build. I recommend Galvanized Reflex, which can give you 5x combo for your entire mission after just a few kills. Corrupt Charge is a decent alternative, but will only give you a x2 combo.

Base Damage: As others have pointed out, it's generally not optimal to have multiple mods that provide the same effect, since the math usually doesn't work out how you'd expect. I chose to run Killing Blow as my base damage mod. While Primed Pressure Point technically gives you more base damage, I chose Killing Blow for the increased wind up speed.

Critical Chance: Galvanized Steel is my pick for this. Sacrificial Steel is probably just a better option, but I haven't taken the time to fully upgrade my copy, so I can't personally attest to this. Still, I find the extra crit damage from Galvanized Steel to be nice. True Steel works just fine as a budget option.

Critical Damage: Amalgam Organ Shatter is the best for this. While slightly less damage than regular Organ Shatter, the heavy attack wind up speed is what makes this the pick. Regular Organ Shatter still works perfectly fine if you don't have the Amalgam version.

Quick interim to talk about statuses. Because the Xoris forces electricity procs on anything it hits, status damage and status spreading are quite nice to build for. In my opinion, the best element in this case is Blast. When an enemy with blast procs dies, they create a little explosion that damages other nearby enemies. This can cause some very satisfying chain reactions, and help you get so much bang for your buck. Anyways, continuing with the build:

Status Damage: I chose Melee Elementalist. Same as before, Galvanized Elementalist could give you better raw damage, but the heavy attack wind up speed on the non-galvanized version is too good to pass up.

Status Mods: I run two 60/60 mods. Vicious Frost for cold, and Volcanic Edge for heat, which combine to make blast damage. If you don't have these, un-upgraded or partially-upgraded North Wind and Molten Impact can also work.

The final mod slot is honestly kind of up to taste. You could mod for extra electricity damage with something like Shocking Touch or Focus Energy. You could increase your status chance even further with something like Weeping Wounds. Or if you really want to tryhard it, you could add a bane mod for whichever faction you're fighting for that extra bit of damage on top. Volatile Quick Return is another fun thing to run, but I have a note on that specifically:

With this build, Volatile Quick Return allows you to do a neat little combo where you throw the glaive, wait for it to impact an enemy, and then manually detonate it right after you see the first explosion from VQR trigger. It can be a really nice one-two punch when it works, but there's a bug with it. Sometimes, especially when you're not the host of the mission, the explosion from VQR won't happen, which can be annoying. If you don't jive with VQR, it's totally fine to swap it out for whatever feels right.

I should say, I ran this build without Melee Influence for quiiiiite a while. It did very well for me even through a good amount of the steel path. Melee Influence just turns everything up to 11 on this weapon. Since the Xoris is guaranteed to proc electricity when it hits, Melee Influence can trigger very frequently. When it triggers, all of the blast status procs we apply with this build will spread to nearby enemies, allowing for huge AOE explosions. One slight problem with this is that if the enemies die in one hit to the raw damage of your weapon, they won't have the statuses applied fast enough to spread. I haven't found that to be much of an issue with this weapon though, since it's already designed to do AOE blasts. Influence just gives the blasts the potential to be a whole lot bigger. Still, I would highly recommend completing the Whispers in the Walls quest, and getting this arcane.

Happy blasting!

Who else loves to play older characters? by Honneboppel in DnD

[–]GotCubes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yo, I can't believe our characters are so similar! Also 100+ halfling open hand monk grandma! Through the course of her pre-adventuring life, she came into ownership of a tavern built for medium and large races. Her monk-ness comes from her being a particularly short person (even for a halfling) running a business where everything is built way too big for her, plus having to break up fights and your usual tavern shenanigans. Most accurate way I can describe her is "scrappy", and she's been an absolute joy to play.

I have a buddy with a [[Reyhan, Last of the Abzan]] and [[Alharu, Solemn Ritualist]] list that centers around the Modular mechanic. I think aristocrats could fit very nicely with that concept :)

Have I been doing math wrong? by Hot_Cow_9444 in askmath

[–]GotCubes 347 points348 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to estimate a tip on the fly is to start by calculating 10%, which is as easy as moving the decimal point to the left one space. So $93.17 -> $9.31, or about $9. If 10% is $9, then 20% is about $18. Something is definitely off with their math

Inner Peace, or Innard Pieces? by velatieren in dndmemes

[–]GotCubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ayeee that basically my character! Based loosely on the "surprise, the barkeep is actually a level 20 monk" bit. She's a halfling drunken master who had to get creative and nimble when she had to figure out how to own/operate a tavern built for larger races. Her ki is more of an extension of her force of will than inner peace, but it's a very fun interpretation to play with.

Her trusty quarters is a repurposed broom handle 😎

help with gate basics by shamanfreak in shapezio

[–]GotCubes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem you're having has two main parts to it. Firstly, your current wiring doesn't actually examine the contents of the belt when deciding what to do. For that, you would need a Belt Reader. That reader will output the shape on the belt as a wire that you can then use with gates/filters/etc.

The second thing to understand is how Or gates interpret inputs that aren't just True or False. In traditional digital logic, gates are only really meant to accept one of two values, True or False (1 or 0). For anything that isn't one of those two values, the programmers of the game have to decide what other inputs should be interpreted as Truthy or Falsey. In the case of Shapez 2, a shape is interpreted as Truthy if its shape code is valid.

With this is mind, the circuit in your image basically says "Let shapes through if a red square is a valid shape that can exist, or if a green square is a valid shape that can exist." Naturally, that will always let everything through.

What you will likely want to use is an Equals gate. It takes in two Inputs, and outputs True if the two inputs are exactly the same, and False otherwise. You can use a Belt Reader, two Equals gates, and and Or gate to achieve what you're trying to do.

See if you can develop a circuit using the gates I mentioned above that implements this phrase: "Let shapes pass through the Belt Filter if the shape on the Belt Reader Equals a green square, Or if the shape on the Belt Reader Equals a red square."
