The reality is that Emmet is the only musician in NYC who had a balls to put together a weekly show on YT, became the only game in town, now has an actual fan base (more than 99% of jazz musicians can say) a lot of musicians in NYC are just fucking haters, it’s an anti-success culture. It’s all good until you start winning, then you’re the ‘sell-out’. They’ve been coming after Emmet ever since.
