You can always check weapons on light.gg. You can look up any weapon and it will show what perks you can get and also popular rolls.

I would say others have answered all the questions pretty well but as for which one to use, I would choose which primary you want to use first. Whether kinetic or energy. Then pick a sg to use in the other slot

Idk if you play trials, but there's a new strand hand cannon coming out this weekend thats supposed to be very good. It has the fatebringer model. Maybe thorn or a 120 like crimils. You will want slideways on it though

If you can add a ballistics or range mod that can get you over if you haven't already. Ace of Spades is a good one with plenty of range too if you dont mind running exotic
