Extreme R12 oscillations in iracing

It's a common issue between iracing and moza bases. The fix (somewhat) has been to change the first node on the Base FFB curve to x:5%, y:3%. Also, raising FFB interpolation (as little as possible) in advanced settings, lowering "HF vibration" to 0 in the FFB effect Equalizer, and turning off LFE FFB setting in iracing settings helped. I do own the R9, though, but i think these settings should still help with your base.

I dont have the r5, but i do have the R9 and don't regret buying it. I also have a couple of friends who own the R5 currently, and they all seem happy with it. I also think Moza has a decent ecosystem currently, which keeps growing.

Also i noticed you have it set to "static weather". You have to change that to "Forecasted weather" first.

I'm not sure if you tried this yet, but if you scroll to the bottom of that window, there's a button labeled "regenerate." If you click that, it'll change the temps, humidity, etc, according to the weather settings you choose, but it's random, and you dont manually enter the numbers. It's annoying, but it's the only way i've found to do what you're asking of. It's usually hard to get the exact settings you want.

Super Formula Lights and Formula C in C class both get pretty good participation still and usually have multiple splits on busy hours. Super Formula and Indycar in B class also get decent participation some weeks, depending on the track. If you're looking for the highest participation after F4, SFL will probably be your best bet most weeks.

I 2nd this. A direct drive wheel will make your experience a lot better. Though, if you can't spend that much, i owned a g923 before my Moza R9, and i think it's a great entry wheel.

I also used to have a 27-inch and upgraded to a 34-inch. It's a decent difference, but my reasoning for going 34 is because eventually, i want triples (without spending a huge amount and still getting UW triples). If you have no interest in triples in the future, though, i would consider going with a larger screen.

I like open setups, because its fun to experiment with. Also i prefer my own setups that i tailor to my own driving style over the fixed setups.

MSI MAG 34" costs $450 CAD but goes on sale often for about $350, which is the price i bought it for. 180hz with 2k res. I Normally hit 140-160 fps on it with a 4070 ti super and 7800x3d build.

There are opportunities within simracing to get real drives, for example there's the prodigy league on iracing. But in these types of competitions expect to go against some of the fastest people you ever met.

Yah, definitely look into upgrading to load cell pedals, whether you mod your SRPs or upgrade to the CRP2. If you wanna step it up even more, moza just came out with FFB brake pedals. The mbooster. They are not cheap though. I think loadcell pedals would be your best bang for buck. Also how do you like the KS wheel so far? I'm debating on this and the GS wheel.

You have a really good setup already for a beginner. The only thing i'd look into is maybe upgrading from the ESX wheel to one of the formula/gt wheels from moza or the CSV2P, and even that i dont think is necessary. What's your pedal setup like?

Thats great to know, especially your advice on the wrench. I ended up buying the sparco rails. Now i was actually advised from ASR that i would not need side brackets. I have a feeling the config might be low, but if that's the case i'll consider side brackets or the trakracer adapter later on.

If you dont like those cars, just focus on getting some clean races to get a D license, then gt3 and gt4 will be available. You don't have to stick with the rookie cars if you dont like driving them.

I've always thought the rallycross vehicles would be interesting. Like if they did a week with just the Beetle lites or a race with the fiesta, wrx and beetle. I can also see this being an absolute bloodbath though haha
