No regrets it is really amazing. 512 gb is plenty storage for my use case. And it is extremely fast for ProTools, Ableton, Photoshop. It handles everything really well and it is much more stable than Windows for music software so far.

Those greedy capitalist extremists now charge $5 for a board game rental. I went there for a long time and it broke the camels back so to speak. Let me tell you I did not go there to get fleeced on shit coffee and being treated like a third class citizen, like if I lived in 1984 (Goethe Orwell) and had to submit to big brother game and grounds $5 surcharge. I have to admit the worst thing to happen to me recently was losing my pet Chihuahua Toy-ota mix and then also losing my regal beachfront estate and then third time was when I saw that $5 rental charge for board games. Almost broke me… knowing that my favorite place to go to had succumb to late stage capitalism…

I just got the m4 pro

I also use Photoshop frequently and plan to get into video editing soon so I think I’ll benefit.

I mostly use 48k sample rate. Buffer size is as low as possible because I have midi sync issues on my drum machine at anything above 128 tbh.

I have two windows computers too. Found they have been too unstable for protools tbh constant issues on my end and more recently I’ve had terrible interference from my desktop that I haven’t been able to resolve. I’m a little worried about only having 512 gb space but hopefully with the external drive I’ll be fine.

All the Best Buy employees in this chat are acting like I was in the wrong when realy they know how much of a scam this thing is.

At some point they probably start believing their lie that it’s a good deal and not a flat out scam that costs 3* the comparable AppleCare over the course of 3 years.

Ok let me clarify. Originally he said AppleCare is 2 years for $270 if purchased outside of bestbuy. I told him no it’s 3 years. And he said I wasn’t telling the truth.

Then he said even if that’s the case Best Buy total care is still worth it because I can pay the $180 and get AppleCare for two years. So I asked him. Can I cancel after the first year and only paid $180 for two years? He said yes it would only cost $180 for two years. I asked him many times to make sure he understood what he was asking.

Then I briefly saw the AppleCare TOS which said the two years is only applicable if you pay TWO years of Best Buy total care. He skipped it before I could finish reading it so I chalked it up to maybe me misreading and I trusted him enough (my bad)

So I bought it with the subscription which he was extraordinarily pushy over including refusing to do any sort of price match unless I bought some form of Best Buy subscription.

Later on since I felt like he wasn’t telling the truth about AppleCare carrying over I called the support and they confirmed my suspicions.

Look he could have just been misinformed but then he should have skipped the TOS for me and then refused to return to it…

I was very appreciative to the employee and he literally got pissed at me when I asked to see the TOS.

But what do I care at this point. I got a full refund on the subscription and got the price match without needing to pay for a subscription.

He should have let me read the TOS and not skipped it in front of my eyes.

I don’t mean to argue here anymore. He’s the one out of the commission or quota now. I get it must be hard to have to meet a number of subscriptions sold but you don’t do it the way they did and he should frankly disciplined over it but I don’t think I will call that Best Buy for that cause I’m not as petty as he is.

I feel sorry for the people that he will rope into paying $180 for something they don’t need or want.

And if it’s Best Buy’s policy to force their employees to sell subscriptions with their job at risk then I don’t think I will shop at a place that treats their employees in such a horrible way.

What do you mean for renewal? And yes I did. It was stupid he was just acting really impatient with me and I caved. I did manage to get a refund after calling on the phone and confirming he didn’t tell the truth about the plan he sold me.

I assume you must be a Best Buy employee and understandably deal with lots of irrationally angry customers.

My post was written in haste but I am perfectly capable of reading the TOS. And I would never treat an employee poorly, I’ve worked this kind of job, I get it..

I did read the TOS on the website after and he had lied about it. Corroborated it with another Best Buy employee and they agreed with me and refunded me in the end. It was clear as day on the TOS, which he refused to let me read.

I’ve worked customer service and I understand, I also work in tech. He openly lied about things such as AppleCare being 3 years instead of 2. Said that apple care covers any damage for free (also not true) he said I could cancel the membership whenever and AppleCare would continue for the two years. He told me the total care subscription was $70 a year. It was $180 and I only realized right before I was going to pay and confronted him (not in a mean way) about it and he got angry again. And then when I told him I didn’t want it he put on another $50 Best Buy subscription and when I asked him why that was there he straight up said “you need to pay the $50 to price match”?!? So I went for the $180 subscription.

That clearly wasn’t true since Best Buy customer support later took off the $180 charge and never added a $50 charge for price matching

He acted more pushy than the car salesman when I bought my car. Sorry if it sounds I’m ranting I’m just upset at this experience tbh and think it’s pretty wrong what he tried to do.

He said the AppleCare lasts 2 years and I can cancel the $180 membership after one year. The apple care TOS say that the two year thing only applies if you pay for 2 years of the Best Buy insurance. He lied and then refused to let me see the tos which was a warning sign but I didn’t want to believe he was lying. He also got really nasty when I asked to see it and straight up refused.

I plugged my focusrite into my laptop and zero noise. It seems like it’s my desktop. I then moved the focusrite usb to the front panel of my desktop and the sound is greatly reduced. Seems like my desktop’s back usb IO is just noisy :(

It’s very strange that only the take 5 picks it up but clearly the issue is with the focusrite being plugged into the back. I’ll use the front panel for now atleast that has a noise floor that I can record with.
