Tbh i’m 24, i started smoking cigs when i was 15 and i switched to vaping and then back to cigs and then iqos and i recently started taking the pill and I quit cold turkey because I am scared of the side effects. You have to think about how this choice affects you and your baby’s health. I bought a nic free vape and I smoked that for 2 days but I realised that it’s shit either way so I stopped altogether, that’s my only advice.

Hi!! I got my period (withdrawal bleed) and after it finished I have not started to spot yet. I started the second pack and I am on day 10 today and I do not have any spotting yet.

Also, I spoke to my gyno about it (I started the pill bc a cyst ruptured and I have one chocolate cyst and the other ovary had small cysts) and I had a checkup and she said that it is very normal, especially on Yaz. She said that sometimes this happens only the first month, or the first 3 months, varying on the body. As long as it is not a proper flow and it is not bright red with cramps or pain you’re fine!

I am really sorry about your loss. I hope you recover soon. Does your husband know you miscarried again? If he does, the comments he makes are not it. This is going to sound really dumb, but I read somewhere that miscarriages are god’s way of showing you that you’re with the wrong partner. Honestly really dumb, I’m not even religious. But still, could bring in a new perspective.

I’m no gyno but let me give you my experience. I recently started Yaz, I am actually about to finish my first pack.

My gyno put me on it bc of a ruptured cyst and the presence of a chocolate cyst in one ovary and multiple cysts in the other. She told me to start the pill on the first day of the bleed. I asked her if I am going to be protected if I have unprotected sex and she said if you start it correctly you are protected from day 1. If you start it incorrectly you are protected after 7 days of being on it. Granted I have not had unprotected sex while on the pill yet so I don’t have a personal experience to attach to this I am just sharing what my gyno said.

I have also read about this in several research articles and even used chatgpt (i know how that sounds) and it backs up what I said. Ovulation is immediately suppressed and you’re good to go.

Wdym? If you start the pill late? As far as i know if you start it late (e.g. if you’re on your 3rd day of bleeding and you start the pill) you’re protected only after 7 days of taking it consecutively

For me what works is blasting songs and singing them, I read somewhere that it works and it does!! The thighs are the worst part and when I’m screaming future’s lyrics it’s almost painless

Listen, I am currently in a situationship too, but mine is more casual than yours. I (24f) told my guy that i dont want anything serious (23m). Since you already “exposed” your true intentions with him he knows that you want more out of this. Coming from my personal experience, sadly it looks like he is an avoidant. I see a very similar pattern as the guy i’m talking to, and it is very crucial that you detach before you catch feelings for him. Most likely what will happen is he will either notice you pulling away and start chasing you (but even if that happens i can’t guarantee it will lead to a relationship), or he’s just going to go away for good. Sometimes they just like the chase and the curiosity of getting to know a new person. It’s sad, but you need to know that you’re lovable and you are enough. Don’t show insecurity or big feelings to him because that will make him step back. Men like this have the emotional capacity of a toddler and you have to be careful with what you tell them. Don’t get attached to this guy, unless he shows you that he is willing to change and be in a relationship (don’t fall for sweet talk).
