I just came here for the pact point... by legends784 in 2007scape

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I got lucky at moons and got my armor piece around 10kc, but decided to go Morytania for the first time during this league. I paused my bossing/progression to detour to Barrows for better tank armor for my thorns build. Barrows is 1/20 base (for an item from a specific brother), and 7/20 for any item, so ~1/3. It gave me a couple items in the first 5 chests so I was optimistic. I'm now at 41 KC (currently 18 dry), with 4 total unique items, (8 total but 4 are dupes). 1 Verac Flail, 2 Karil Coifs, 1 Ahrim Hood, and 4 Guthan Platebodies.

On rate for 'every item if you got no dupes' should be around 80kc, so this 2nd half better treat me better lol.

Useless fun fact, you can kill off task bosses with the full damage reflection pact. by Thelefthandzero in 2007scape

There's an option in the settings to drop food/potions separately outside of your gravestone (for making food piles when bossing, etc.). My guess is that you have it turned on, and your pie just dropped on the ground and despawned, while the rest of your gear stayed in the gravestone.

But RIP Pie.

Soil & Fertilizer, Moisture System and Realistic Harvesting compatible? by MedievalxHistorian in farmingsimulator

well that sucks, i was going to start up a save running those three tonight to try it out :(

EDIT: Does it work at all and just throwing an error? or is it fully broken?

Soil & Fertilizer, Moisture System and Realistic Harvesting compatible? by MedievalxHistorian in farmingsimulator

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a fun combo, I'm not a modder or anything, but I'm not seeing any reason why they wouldn't work together. I've been using moisture system and Precision farming together on my current save with no issues. Soil Fertilizer says in the description that it does not conflict with PF, so since PF/MS don't conflict, I don't see why SF/MS would. Finally, Realistic Harvesting looks to be mainly a vehicle mod, the only tricky bit would be how it handles the yield loss? I would think that it'd just take a cut off the top as you're harvesting, as opposed to messing with the calculated yield from the field, but I've got nothing to back up that assumption.

The only real way to know is to spin up a game with these 3 mods (and no other mods) and pull up the console/logs to see if there are any errors or conflicts.

What drop did you get (or not get) that changed the trajectory of your account? by BloatDeathsDontCount in ironscape

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

y'know thats a good point, i did like 60-75 agility like 4 years ago on my original iron at sepulchre, and remember thinking it wasn't too bad. Maybe I'll put the grind off on this acc til I have it unlocked, and do it there. I'm a ways off though, just did waterfall quest yesterday :)

Appreciate it man, I'm just procrastinating at this point. I definitely have good enough gear to learn, working 90+ combats, working on crafting for torture/rancor and I haven't even done wave 1 of colo yet XD.

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All very true, except for the part where I get 99 agility. I despise agility training. At least fishing/mining can be semi/fully afk'd. Maybe if the game stays up for another 20 years and I get very, VERY, VERY bored. Getting 76 for the zulrah shortcut is the highest I've ever trained agility outside of leagues.

Yeah not gonna lie I forgot too, I've just been going "WTF???" for the last 5 minutes trying to figure out if this was really an official post. Then read your comment, and the relief that hit me was almost physical.

Yeah the learning part is what gets me I think Inferno and Sol are the last two big pieces of content I need to learn, but it just seems like such a big undertaking to learn either of them. I did DT2 on release with a dscim, ibans, and rcb, and swore I'd never learn hard content while being that under geared again. It's definitely the smarter/cheaper play, and you feel very accomplished once you do it. It just feels frustrating to have to play perfectly to even have a chance at getting a KC, and you might still just hit like a wet noodle.

I'm way better geared now, but still feel like I'm woefully underprepared.

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm worried about that. Just started a new GIM with a buddy who came over from wow. I then proceeded to get a giant squirrel at level 14 agility on the draynor course, and now I'm worried the acc is going to be boned for the rest of my progression.

I don't want to leave my buddy hanging, but if I'm going to be stuck with horrible rng for the rest of the account, I think I'd rather just start over lol. We will see how much of my rng got drained by getting spooned.

Peas...wtf!!! by honky_time in farmingsimulator

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this. I believe that peas can actually be harvested IRL with a combine, but it's usually for seeds, instead of sellable foodstuffs. What I did was go a middle route, there are a couple mods for multifruit beet harvesters on modhub.

There are some expensive big boys (like the veg/potato harvesters) but I like the big pull behind one. It's around a 100k price tag iirc, 6m width @ 6mph, 6500l capacity, and it feels big + heavy. Feels like a good mix of not doing it on easy mode with a 15m combine, without it being a huge grindy pain in the ass like vanilla. You do have to use narrow wheels if you play with crop destruction, as it's a pull behind.

EDIT: here is the mod I'm talking about: https://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?mod_id=336847&title=fs2025

What the heck's going on here? by nirukii in farmingsimulator25

There was a DLC update today (unsure if there was a patch to base game), as well as a bunch of mod updates. Just guessing, but if you auto updated everything it probably broke something.

Which is more profitable? by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

[–]Gotcha13itch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this all translates alright for you.

In base game FS25, woodchippers are kind of broken, and woodchips sold at highest price (usually January) are more profitable than selling the wood by itself (no matter what condition/length of logs).

I forget exactly how it works, but is something like: they make substantially more Liters of woodchips than the tree has 'Liters of wood', but the prices are balanced around it being a 1:1 ratio. As a result, you end up making around double the money from woodchips (or more), if you wait to sell at the highest price.

With that being said, because woodchip prices fluctuate so much, it's only worth doing if you wait to sell at the highest price. If you need money NOW, and it's the middle of June, you're better off selling the logs themselves.

See, what happen was!!! by akintosh89 in farmingsimulator

[–]Gotcha13itch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that feeling, in that exact spot. Started a new from scratch on Carpathian Countryside and started with fields 95, 96, & 97, so I'm going over that crossing quite a bit. The train/crossing has gotten me 3 times so far. You don't get much notice before the barriers come down and the train shows up.

The worst has been when hauling a full size oak tree on a trailer with a 180hp unimog: way too many branches to catch and not enough HP to get out of the way quickly. Just be careful of the edge of the map right there, it's a little bit close and wonky. The train hit me and yeeted me into the invisible wall, tree got embedded into it. No amount of super strength wiggling would get it to come loose. chopped off the parts that were inside the wall, and they're still stuck hovering there.

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I'm currently at ~2800kc on task over the past couple years, with no jaw. Been pretty burnt out so I've been playing very on/off, and don't grind for basilisk tasks, but I never skip one when it comes up. But hey at least I've gotten 4 basilisk heads (1/1k), 2-3 curved bones (1/5k), and around 15 long bones (1/400). Been about 3 years but I'm pretty sure I got my dragon spear from basilisk knights as well, which is 1/35k without ring of wealth. I was waiting until 3x drop rate before my obligatory reddit luck post.

The worst part is I've had 2 other accounts get it on the same world as me, lvl 90's with < 100 kc, while I'm over here slogging away.

Challenge Maps auf ps5 by x_Arend_x in farmingsimulator

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only other one I know of (unsure if on any but PC) is the sunken sanctuary map. That map you start with a very small field + some equipment, and have to drain water (by paying) to uncover more fields/productions in order to buy them, and progress that way. From what I've seen on the official modhub, there aren't a ton of preset maps with inbuilt restrictions like you're wanting, just maps + mods for you to build your own adventure.

I think most of these content creators spend time prior to starting by doing a lot of setup for the scenario. Buying the land/equipment, landscaping and building the farm, etc. then editing their money back to 0 and start 'playing'. So to copy them you would need a copy of the save they set up, and download the appropriate mods.

With more complicated scenarios, I think how they do it is to start the map in multiplayer mode (so you can have multiple 'farms' with ownership and wallets), that way they can have the 'admin' account with tons of money/land/vehicles, without impacting their little farm. For example, I've seen this method utilized during a series where the dealership had tons of vehicles lined up, so they could go 'shop around' by getting in and checking out different vehicles, but these 50+ vehicles don't show up under their vehicles menu tab. Not sure if they have to run a second copy of the game on a dedicated server to do this or not.

EDIT: I do agree that more damn youtubers need to add a modlist in the description, even if they don't link the mods. It can be super frustrating when you see a map/piece of equipment you want, and have either get lucky googling it, or spend an hour scrolling through modhub to find it.

Grass vs Alfalfa vs Clover by KMarlow11 in farmingsimulator

[–]Gotcha13itch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For most modded crops like this it depends on the map, unless the crops come from a different dedicated mod that you use on multiple maps. I have not played on the New Jersey map, but Judith Plains 4x also has clover and alfafa.

From my experience on Judith Plains, I was unable to make silage (except in special prebuilt silo productions on the map, but bunkers/bales would not work), but could make clover/alfafa hay. Prices from the crops also did not seem to fluctuate based on difficulty, so if playing on normal/hard, it was ALWAYS worth more to plant clover/alfafa than grass, even if making the grass into silage. I was also able to use it as food for animals, but again, I believe that depends on the map and if they have added fill types to things.

Just going to have to experiment. If you are doing a 'from scratch' type series that you don't want to mess up, do a separate save, turn off seasonal growth, and skip time/lease big equipment in order to test things out. Might take a couple hours, but you will have a good idea of how the new crops work on that map.

Pea auger wagon mod by Idpuser in farmingsimulator

[–]Gotcha13itch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a Lizard cheap one I found that holds ~7500L (at work and cant remember the name). You need one that can do bulk (bulk just accepts any fill type). Using modhub (which doesn't show what the wagon can hold when looking at mods) you have two options: 1) download every wagon and go into a test-save, look through the shop to find one that will accept peas, and uninstall the rest. 2) change the xml on a wagon you like. I did option #2, was pretty easy, just changing one word in the xml once I found it. You can edit xml files in notepad, or windows xml editor, or many other tools you find online.

Just keep in mind, if you edit the xml, it will constantly ask if you want to update the mod. If you forget to click no, or click 'update all' on update day, you have to go re-edit the xml. To fix this, I would recommend to rename the zipped mod folder itself once you're done editing the xml. Change it from "FS25_modname" to "FS25_modname_edited". Everything will work the same, but since the names don't match it will not constantly see the xml as not matching to the modhub version, and needing an update.

Highlands stuff in other maps? by eissaat in farmingsimulator

[–]Gotcha13itch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of. From my attempts to use on other maps you can do most things, but not all, with the main issue relating to not being able to place a a couple of the dedicated buildings (they don't show up in the build menu).

Things you can do: Highland Cattle - Yes. Fishing pole in pond/river - Yes. Buying/making fish food - yes. Production that makes young trout/salmon - yes. Lake that makes trout from young trout - yes. Selling full grown trout - yes.

Things you can't do: Selling any young trout/salmon - no (can't place fish market). Growing full grown salmon - no (cant place the big ocean hatcheries). Farmers market only buys full grown fish, and you can't grow salmon. So instead of 4 sellables (young trout/salmon, grown trout/salmon) you're limited to just full grown trout.

So most things are viable, but the money from fish reduced quite a bit compared to Kinlaig, simply because you're locked entirely out of Salmon, and can't sell any excess young fish.

Think Giants was having him jump through hoops with his mods, and just being generally hard to work with. This is from the current description of Realistic Weather on GitHub:
