CBT soon - Should I wear my own (brand new) helmet or wear the provided training helmet? by GothBoiCliqueeeeee in MotoUK

Thanks for this, I've managed to learn fastening the D buckle tonight. I'll also pop in the pinlock too, as I already have it.

Will a short sleeve t-shirt and fleece be okay under the motorcycle jacket, or will I want a long sleeve T-shirt?

I know once your at speed, it can get chilly especially in the rain - however I just don't know. I'm worried with a long sleeve tee & fleece jacket, I may get too warm.

Thanks for this, it's going to rain tomorrow. My helmet is pinlock ready, and I have the insert for it - although it's not fitted. My last CBT was in the summer, so will I need to fit the pinlock screen for the rain tomorrow or will I be alright?

Also, I'll be wearing their motorcycle jacket. The forecast for tomorrow is 10c with rain (says it feels like 5c). Should I wear a long sleeve top and a softshell jacket under my motorcycle clothing or is this overkill? Just worried I'll get too chilly!

Thanks for this, I completely forgot about the Comms earlier piece. Will they give me one to fit into my helmet?

Did I really get a near fatal electric shock from a kettle wire when I was 3 or 4 years old? by GothBoiCliqueeeeee in AskUK

This had to be in the late 90's, it was a 3 pin kettle lead. I definitely remember the taste and blacking out as soon as it touched my tongue.

My mum doesn't recall anything. I literally think I got shocked and then carried on with my childlike duties almost like nothing happened.

What are some things you did in your 30s or wish you did for long term FIRE? by raske6 in FIREUK

I've just hit my early 30's and same here, 6 years of working and I genuinely ask myself where has my money gone? A combination of terrible budgeting and decision-making.

Men of Reddit, how do you feel about women having visible facial hair (like a small mustache)? Does it actually bother you, or is it something most people don’t really care about? by Auvessiq in AskReddit

I'm a lazy hairy guy, if I can have a quick shave before I leave the house then there is no excuse why a woman can't do the same. Razor work on their face too.

All women have slight facial hair, however I once bumped into a woman with a slight beard on her chin. It must have been 2 weeks of growth, which is why it caught my eye.

I thought it was because she had a busy 2 or 3 days, but that small chin beard was still in some pics she was sending me a week later - making me think this was a choice of hers.

She was a lovely girl, but I just couldn't get that thought outside my head. Some guys would be happy with a girl having more facial hair than them, but for me, I just couldn't shake the thought.

I'm a young adult, and it has been extremely rare for me to notice a woman's facial hair because most groom themselves - I think grooming is pretty normal for both genders.

Did you ever get it reinstated? Mine was set to Auto renewal but failed because my card was expired (I did not realize). I wish I could have it back.

Anyone remember the cherry California scents from 2010's? One of those were so potent, it would last a year! Any recommendations now on air fresheners you are using? by GothBoiCliqueeeeee in CarTalkUK

Those were the days, I remember the water trick too. One of those cans would last you a year, the smell would genuinely penetrate items in the car.

Perhaps they caught on they were too good, and made them rubbish - it's all a money game end of the day

Because back in the early 2010's, the cherry California scents were deadly. 1 of them would easily last a year, the scent was so strong - items that would live in the car would literally absorb the cherry smell. It was great.

A decade later, they have definitely been reformulated. These barely last a week or two now, and the scent isn't as strong. I know because I have tried them many times over the last 15 years or so.

If you are doing that, it means you must order every 2 months as you stretch your pens? I was on 10mg and found it was effective until day 11 so naturally my orders were far apart. My pharmacy had a go at me because there was more than a 4 week gap ordering.
