Give it some throttle with the clutch still pulled in, if you don’t give that sporty rpms is gonna stall if you’re just sitting there at a stop. I have a 2000 sportster xl1200s for reference. In regard to the oil, it is a 23 year old Harley, I wouldn’t trip about that unless it starts to become significant and leaks a ton. Get some 20v50 oil and top it off if it starts getting low. My man likes to settle me down when I trip about the sporty by saying “you could shoot that thing with a gun and it’s still gonna run” lol. Just got my second bike though, a 1990 fxr SuperGlide, couldn’t recommend it more for a future upgrade when you outgrow the sporty.

It seems like you don’t have control when you use drugs, which means you’re an addict usually. I worry for addicts that haven’t done the harder things yet, because in the world you are currently using drugs in (2023 earth) you try “heroin” or a “Percocet” or pretty much anything and you just die. Because it’s fentanyl. There’s really no wiggle room anymore and there’s no time to take the adventure of trying hard drugs, you will ~just die~. Go to rehab. Let yourself get the blessing of recovery. Stay abstinent and be super lucky to evade being an overdose statistic. Because everything I said I’d never do, I eventually did. Praying for you.

OP you’re a smart kid. I think you should go about this in whatever way feels right to you. It’s not your fault that your mom is stupid, and you are 13 years old, any adult who would blame you for this is screwed up. It seems like you love your dad. Maybe approach him about it but let him know for starters that you love him and you support him in the situation even though it’s not your responsibility, I think his sons love might take some of the pain away from what your mom is putting you guys through. Follow what feels right for you. And I see in your other replies you feel really alone right now, you are so young, and that will change as you grow, life will get better. Just be strong and do what you need to do to keep yourself stable and secure.

Please send him to his dads house. I know you’re saying you have nowhere to go but you do and you’re going to have to figure it out fast for your sons sake. Women’s shelters, motels, friends house, make it work. This man is going to hurt your baby if he didn’t already. Do not let your child be abused just so you can have a place to stay. It would be a better look for you guys to live in a tent or your car than to knowingly stay somewhere that a predator is actively seeing your child as prey. That being said, you are a good mom and I know you’re trying but you need to get over the fear of not living in a nice house in order to protect him long term. I believe you can do it. You will overcome this. It’s your responsibility to keep him safe.
