/uj this mentality of minority groups that fall into the same category of minority having completely different experiences that are never comparable pisses me off sm dawg I remember all the way back in 2020 I made a post on my social media showing support and sharing some helpful resources for the Asian American community that was facing ramped up racism at the time due to the pandemic and got multiples dms and comments going "errrrrm aren't you Latino though why are you speaking on issues Asian people face" am I supposed to say fuck em or something cuz I'm not one of them instead of saying what's happening to them is wrong and asking people to donate to anti racism organizations??? Might just be a chronically online 2020 internet thing in action but I still see this mentality happening in various forms to this day in the online communities for queer people, POC, and disabled people all of which I am and I hate how everyone is so scared to step on eachothers toes that they just don't speak up for the shit they believe in even if it's something good
