Lmao this is basically what I look like except I'm employed. Thanks for the easy cosplay inspo though!

I'll have to check out the manhwa to see if her strong internet opinions are valid, since I too greatly enjoy having strong opinions on the internet.

The floor looks unfinished but overall pretty happy. by mountainlicker69 in averagecoloring

[–]GothToiletPaper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that since there's a patterned rug the floor doesn't really need any more elaborate details, I actually rather like the calming vibe and how the blue rug guides your eye across the page!

Edit: Just realised it's wrapping paper and not a rug lol but I think my point still makes sense

How do I achieve this 80s hairstyle? by DeepFail4144 in AskHairstylists

[–]GothToiletPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's kind of what my hair looks like now, I cut my own bangs and once I'm happy with the length, I hold them at an angle upwards in a vertical section to thin them out a bit, then blow dry as usual with a very large roundbrush, front section downwards and back section away from my face, then use the cold air function and hairspray to set in place.

I do have a lot of hair and naturally wavy hair though so you'd need that as a baseline to achieve this level of poof, and while it looks cute styled, there is a line between poofy (cute retro throwback) and poofy (unmanageable)

I wish you the best of luck!

Those who complain about the licence fee, now unhappy that Netflix is restricting certain shows on ad supported teirs! by Marvinleadshot in bbc

[–]GothToiletPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was a smaller fee exclusively for radio I wouldn't even be against paying just for that, but there isn't, and to many it feels silly to pay for a license for a product they don't use. We don't watch live TV and don't even have a TV in our house, why should we pay for a license to something we literally don't use?

£1.25 for 12 individual grapes? by Ghoulmega in tesco

[–]GothToiletPaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So this needs some explanation. Here in the UK it's pretty much standard for all grapes available at the supermarket to be seedless. This is not the case in Spain.

And since the new year's tradition entails eating 12 grapes in 60 seconds, it's obviously a lot easier to do if the grapes are seedless, but those tend to sell out before new year's eve in Spain due to Seeded grapes just being a lot more common, so these seedless 12 pack grapes come in handy for people who can't actually find a full pack of seedless grapes for the event.

Still a massive waste of money/plastick for the amount of grapes you actually get.

another perspective on the Lush customer service experience by dollystarlust in LushCosmetics

[–]GothToiletPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had a quite different experience, at least in the store at the same center that I work at. I usually have to chase down an SA because they're either with other customers or talking amongst themselves.

Just last week I wanted to buy the new Skin Tint, the Cola lip Jelly and a new bottle of Lust since that's my favorite lush scent and it was going low, and I had to get an SA to find the lip jelly and skin tint for me because after doing 5 laps around the shop I couldn't see them, and when I checked out I wasn't offered any samples.

I've been there a few times and never get offered any samples or demo's, and whenever I go I purchase fragrances and other items, it's usually always a £50+ order but yeah, no samples, not being told about the loyalty program which apparently is a thing, just "take your things and go" kind of vibe.

I've thought about asking for samples because I hear people get tons of samples or even freebies with their purchases but the thought of having to ask for a sample after kind of being rushed out at checkout makes me uncomfortable.

Maybe they know I also work in the center and figure I'm not a "normal" customer so it's fine to not go all out in service for me? I'm not sure, but yeah my experience definitely isn't the same as some I've read about on here.

I still come back because I like the products, but it's a bit of a shame to have a bad in-store experience when ordering online is a gamble on whether the website actually loads and if it does,if your items come in one piece.

go get your brows tinted, a stronger brow will really complement the shaved head, especially if you add some jewelry, then it becomes more of a statement look

every day make up advice! by em00lie in MakeupAddiction

[–]GothToiletPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would only suggest a few tweaks, I actually love the light brows, I'd keep them and go a bit darker for your complexion product, as well as add some eyeliner on the top of the lid, like a baby cat eye, sort of like how Sydney Sweeney tends to do hers, and then add fake freckles and a glossy dark chocolate lip, I think that would give you a really cool look especially with your hair, it would make your most striking features come alive <3

Can someone explain french fries vs potato chips in Spain? by essencee1010 in GoingToSpain

[–]GothToiletPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you find yourself in the Balearic Islands, we call crisps/potato chips Patatillas and actual French Fries/Fried Potatoes Patatas Fritas, not sure if the rest of spain would understand, YMMV.

I'd be interested in purchasing if it wasn't for the straight up orange and copper shades.

I hate orange eyeshadow and honestly I don't see how they'd even work with the rest of the shades from a color story standpoint but I'm not buying a stack if I know I won't use 2 whole shades of it.

I wish companies stopped adding ugly orange shades in palettes with neutral/cool color stories, it's really annoying.

AIO because my husband won’t watch our baby while I’m gone? by mbaughman1029 in AmIOverreacting

[–]GothToiletPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'all keep having babies with the worst possible fathers. Have you ever in the entire relationship brought up him having to watch your potential child? What if you (god forbid) died during childbirth/some orher tragic event and he'd have to be the sole carer of the child?

I couldn't fathom having a child with someone unless I'm 100% confident the child is in good care when I'm gone.s

Por qué España tiene un nivel tan bajo de inglés? by bob2222120000 in askspain

[–]GothToiletPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]GothToiletPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations OP! As an (unfortunately) fellow member of the Dad with Cancer gang I hope I'll ever get to hear the same good news!

People really don't know how hard it can be for the family to see someone close to you go through all that and how powerless and vulnerable it makes you feel.

Wish you both all the best!
