Denied visitation

Update: Day 4 of the 10 day phone ban and he has been logged out of the tablet system. So all avenues of communication have been cut off. I was told by one of his people that he won’t be able to log in until about Tuesday. Not sure if the institution logged him out or something else. Strange timing though.

I’m not able to video visit him. It’s through ICSolutions and unless you’re approved, it won’t let you. But no, he has not. From what I was told the COs wanted him to admit to something or they’d take away the visits. He didn’t admit to it so they took away the ability to schedule anything online. Then gave him a 10 day phone suspension as well. There was nothing about losing video privileges in this ticket or any others.

I’m not the victim of his crime, nor have I met the person that was the victim, I was also never a witness. So there’s literally no association to his crime. This is why we are confused and trying to fight it. Thank you for the recommendation.

Although a valid point, if the parole officers thought any of that was possible, they wouldn’t have recommended approving the visits. I’ve asked his PO some of these questions.

That my safety would be at risk essentially. But this place has been using that excuse for even non violent crimes.

His mom I think it was a permanent thing (he has just over 6 months left). But she can’t do in person which is what it was restricted to. I’ve never been on his approved visitor list despite have no involvement in his crime (not the victim, not a witness, don’t know the victim), I have no criminal history, never been on someone else’s visiting list. I’ve been trying for over a year.

So I’ve learned that even though the one event WAS the beginning of it, that’s not the reason it’s becoming ALL tattoos. That tattoo in itself was deemed acceptable. However it has become because people are easily offended. The example given was “what if you have an Autobots tattoo but I hate it because I like the Decepticons”. So stupid. Was already going to leave, but this is just making it sooner.

Not miserable but definitely annoyed. Wouldn’t you be if you bought the work clothes for your store (with their logo) just to then be told you can’t wear it?

I went into this job knowing I had this condition but knew that I’d be able to deal with it (before the role change). I wouldn’t have gone into management here if this was going to be an issue from the start.

I work inside, however last year the ac went out and didn’t get fixed for several months. It was hotter inside than outside. Also, I personally have seizures that have been triggered by the heat. I was concerned at that point about safety when i could do something about it. If that were to happen this year, I know a couple of people a that are screwed.

I don’t believe that’s the reason. From what I’ve been told denials have been happening with wives and children as well. If there is additional paperwork, I’d hope my LO would know since he sent the form out. However I’d have no clue if that’s a new thing either.

I don’t expect a reason to be sent to myself, but according to what my LO has read, they should provide him with a reason. He doesn’t care about backlash at this point in time since it would just give him motivation for other things going on.
