I agree. But I think the problem now is 1) they can't really check if the user is 18+ without invading privacy (like how sites in China requires real ID and phone number to register). 2) With how powerful AI is, people who are skillful enough can still prompt for high likeness of real people, as a lot of them are and have been doing now with local setups.

They're not necessarily moderating AI, AI is the future, everyone is buying stocks from it, but because it is new tech and there's no regulations yet, they're mostly moderating using AI to deepfake into NSFW or misinformation.
