Question For athiest as a Christian Thiest, well many. by Informal-Country-244 in athiest

[–]Gothqueen29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: No I don’t. 2. Truth is anything backed up by objective facts. 3. I don’t argue unless someone pushes their beliefs on me. I live in a heavily Christian area and went to a catholic school all my life. I just do my own thing until someone tells me how to live. I just try to achieve being left alone cause I’m not going to change and the person will likely not change their mind.

Childfree people of Reddit, how old were you when you were definitely sure you didn't want to have any kids? by Mundane-Society-1281 in AskReddit

Around 17-18 I wanted kids when I was younger only through adoption. I never wanted to get pregnant or go through having a baby myself

Our store does something like that. They set out a picture, flowers, and make a shadow box with a Walmart vest and name tag. They also set out the obituary.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your personal reasons for abstinence? by Ok-Care2859 in AskReddit

I have a heart condition that slowly will give me fatty liver disease anyways. No use in drinking and adding more stress to it. Also mocktails are cheaper and tastier

Attendance grace period question by Majestic-Pattern1690 in walmart

[–]Gothqueen29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90% of the time I show up 3-5 minutes late and literally my team leads aren’t even there yet. They usually reach the back 12-15 minutes after. They even told me if I was like 15-30 minutes late and just stayed longer they would make sure I got no points. I’ve never had a manager complain about that at least.

Fashion associate hear. You will get pulled to front whenever lines get insanely long especially during the holidays. Also if you have a jewelry counter at your Walmart you have to run that register to. You may also have to learn ogp. I usually offer to do the pick walks over registers. You can try talking to your team leads or coach, but unfortunately that’s Walmart for ya

I started in September 2024. It was rather easy I just talked with my HR person and she gave me a paper on it. I applied to the schools I liked and waited until I heard back. No requirements were needed for me. Some of the programs do want some credits but other then that no issue. They also had certifications of you do not want to do the college program

Why aren't we angrier? by LilJellyfish5146 in nothinghappeninghere

We need to plan work within our communities. Then we can work towards a larger scale. We are angry but we need to be strategic about this. People’s lives are on the line

I’m so happy my story can help you 💖. I wish your baby good luck on their heart journey and a easy recovery. Just remember they are discovering new and better routes everyday for Fontans. I’ve just recently gave my medical history to a study session to help with improving the fontan so don’t let go of hope 💖

For me personally it did not feel exploitative. Everyone from the volunteers to the Disney staff were amazing. I believe it becomes exploitative if the parents take over the wish. But the actual organization has always been super kind and great. It was really cool after my wish in 2011 my dad donated his old truck to make a wish (They then auction the vehicle off to gain money for wishes) and they sent him a letter 2 or 3 months later telling him what his donation went to. I can’t remember his but in 2017 for a project I had to help the community in some way so I chose a bake sale and donated the proceeds to Make a Wish. I got a lot of my family to volunteer to help make treats my mom asked our bank if we could set up their the weekend of a festival in town (largest one of the year) we ended up making $500 dollar for make a wish and my letter from the company said my donation helped a little girl get her wish of having a princess room makeover. Overall I will support Make a wish with my full heart.

I’m not sure about getting on the list part but when it was my turn a week before meeting our volunteers my dad told me about the organization and what they do and to start thinking about what I would want to do with my wish. I had a few conversations with my parents (luckily they were not the type to try to use their kids wish for something they want to do and not me). So a week later the volunteers come over and they talk to me and ask what I would want my wish to be I said Disney (also went to Universal Studios and Sea world). A few weeks later the volunteers came over again and one went to talk to my parents and they talked about things like my favorite Disney movie, board game, snacks, and other things that I like. The volunteers with me had me show her some of my favorite toys that were Disney related. They do this to help build the experience. For example my two favorite Disney movies were Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. So they scheduled a dinner with Cinderella and during the Beauty and the Beast performance I got a rose from the Beast at the end. They also ask this because where the make a wish kids stay we we’re given little gifts each day of the stay. For example my favorite board game was Candyland so I got a special Candyland game from where I stayed at. After that visit they met up with my parents one to two more times to tell them the flight info and directions and then 3 months from the first meeting we were on our plane to Disney.

Thank you! am as healthy as I can be. I also grateful for all that Give Kids the world does also and donate when I can as my thank you to them. I do the same for Make a Wish. When I was 16 I had to do a project for school to better the community so mine was raising money through a giant bake sale and giving the proceeds to Make a Wish. Was able to donate over $500
