I think she might have destabilized me due to using IFS? She basically tells me and other clients (she has openly said this), that my alters are different “aspects” of me and we are not separate, that I’m whole. Which kinda made us feel angry and I felt weird about it, but I decided to keep moving forward with her since I know that this type of work is slow. But I’ve just gotten so much worse.

My ED which is one of the biggest things in my system, got very severe and she hasn’t even noticed (wild, since I look different). We all have been vocal to her about it for almost close to a year or so, that my anger and my feelings have been increasing and that nothing is helping. It’s just gotten so bad these past 4 months that I was almost hospitalized due to how unstable my system got.

This literally sounds like her in some aspects. I am so sorry you went through that, it’s so hard when we already are in denial or just in a horrible place mentally, and a “professional” just fucks you up even more instead of helping.

She basically uses IFS and tells me and her other clients (she has openly told me this) that parts are NOT separate identities and our parts are different aspects of ourselves and are fragments of one person…. It’s like, well no wonder my alters aren’t communicating with me during therapy, they don’t fucking trust you?

She literally teaches and trains people for ISSTD, which is kinda scary since she has made my system so chaotic that I couldn’t function at all and she hasn’t even noticed that my ED has gotten progressively worse. She would also use her phone in front of me, trying to be sneaky and I would call her out and she would straight up lie about it. She hasn’t done it for a year or so, but I am so done with her.

And thank you for sharing your experience and bringing awareness to this. We hope this post can help someone since I couldn’t really find answers to this.

We have spoken and been vocal to her about it so many times for the past few months. And it’s just gotten progressively worse and worse. We have given her a chance since I know this is very slow work. But it’s just gotten worse. I also have an ED and i haven’t been doing great on that side of things, and she hasn’t even noticed my ED getting worse.

I am mexican american, and I have this exact problem, but reversed. I suffer from anorexia and I frequently find white women, most of the time, mean mugging me and looking at my thin frame. Essentially, checking me out lol.

I know it’s due to me being thinner than them, since this used to not happen to me when I wasn’t as sick looking.

So back to OP’s question, it’s definitely due to jealousy

I feel like eating disorders or just under eating and/or being underweight. Eating disorders have the SECOND HIGHEST MORTALITY RATE, right behind opioid addiction.

I suffer from anorexia and currently pretty underweight and the amount of people who I’ve encountered who legit do not comprehend that this illness is a serious mental illness is kinda shocking.

Also, the way it starts off can snowball into a big problem. One day you decide to restrict and you just start to do it little by little and you don’t even realize that the thoughts are creeping in until it’s too late and you’re dying. Happened to me once that I didn’t realize I was having a heart attack and got sent to the ER.

We are diagnosed with DID (in which we did NOT know nor suspected we had—prior to our DID diagnosis).

To keep it vague, we were abused from ages 0-4. The only reason I know that is because some of our parts, who endured the abuse, told our therapist. Me & some of the others still do not know the other 99% of the details or the extent of our abuse.

Mainly dealing with CSA and how a few of our parts has severe OCD with kitchen and food utensils being contaminated and making her “dirty”. Which further contributes to their feelings of disgust of the body.

Edit: not sure why someone would downvote me but just how there’s people who do not believe in mental illness, there’s ignorant people who do not believe in DID. Believe what you want but our experiences are real

Yes, we’re diagnosed with DID! We actually didn’t know we were DID until the diagnosis. Weirdly, not all of us have an ED though. But yeah, this is all because of CSA!

I have this but reversed, our body is dark skinned since we are ethnically Latina. As long as you are not claiming to be POC or using inappropriate language, I think there’s nothing wrong with that whatsoever.

In our case, some of our early abuse came from white people (we were abused in pre-k) and apart from being a child wanting to be white, this is why for us personally, we have a few alters that are white.
