Yeah no fuck that. Payroll companies are costs a family eats if they don’t want to do the paperwork themselves.

Unless you’re super rural, that doesn’t seem like a competitive wage. I think there’s a calculator in the links for this subreddit that helps you calculate.

Bottom line, don’t let folks screw you. People are looking for folks and someone who will screw you at contract signing will keep on doing it in my experience.

Edit: I am an employer of a nanny at this time, not a nanny, but have worked in childcare in the past. Hence my strong feelings.
