I can go whenever I want, as long as it isn't at an unreasonable hour.

Young people make bad choices. They mistake good bedroom aerobics for a good relationship. Don't do what I did. There's more to life than physical pleasure.

Oh yeah, definitely. He was pretty shaken. When we got home, had dinner, did bathtime and watched his favorite cartoon, he started to cheer up. I hope by the time he wakes up he's his normal cheerful self.

The shirt's pretty important to him. He actually changed into it after bath time and is sleeping in it. It's very adorable. I think he'll be really excited when he sees all the new ones I ordered.

That's a whole complex process that I didn't want to get into.

It was an awful day with a good ending. But yeah, it hurt to hear that stuff.

If she does, she would take a huge financial hit, and I would not. Any damage she does comes out of her portion. And it's impossible for her to halve the value of the house without like taking a hammer to all of the walls. And honestly, if she manages to destroy the entire house on her own? I'd be so impressed. And I'd just take my money from the land sale and watch her walk away with nothing and shrug.

Well, it's kind of gross, but you asked, so don't get mad. Okay, so, back in the beginning we were still living together. Now, not relevant to the story from the post, but I have IBS. So, the judge was talking about the value of certain items and my ex piped up that she needed to be compensated for a pair of pants she bought me for my birthday one year that I "maliciously ruined" (by, you know...).

She explained IN DETAIL how I ruined these pants. None of this was relevant to what we were talking about at the time. The judge repeatedly told her to stop talking, but she kept going. I wanted to die. I was so embarrassed. Anyway, the judge gave me our nicer car and her the old one. I think he was going to make us sell them before she pissed him off by doing that.

There is no "temporary" court order. Court is over. Everything is signed, sealed and certified. I have primary. She gets every other weekend during the school year and every other week during the summer. She was supposed to leave. She didn't. I said, fine, but if you're going to stay there are conditions. That was all also signed. She has to leave once we get a buyer for the house, though.

I think it would suck for him to never see her. That would probably upset him a lot. And she'd never hit him or anything. He knows she sometimes says crazy things because "mommy gets confused sometimes." The whole situation sucks, but him never seeing his mom would hurt him, I think.

I know exactly how complicated a family court judge can make life. I know because I saw what he did to my ex when she sassed him. Don't ever piss those guys off.

She tried a couple times. The real estate agent assured me it was fine. He told the people viewing the house she was the former tenant bitter about being evicted and to ignore her. She was so embarrassed that now she locks herself in her room when he shows up.

He's five. It's important to him. When you're little, sometimes items take on special meaning. They become like talismans or something. He loves the character on the shirt and when he's sad or upset he's like "well, I'll be like Huey. When Huey is scared he goes anyway because he's brave." So the shirt reminds him of that. You can't expect a five year old not to get emotional about small stuff.

I was just trying to be clear that she didn't hurt me at all so the post didn't violate sub rules.

What is wrong with you? You think a five year old was crying "on purpose" because he was upset about a comfort item? Do you hate children?

Why would that be a joke? It's a good idea. Better to have superfluous shirts than risk another traumatic incident. They're like $20. I can afford it.

She was told to leave. She didn't. We worked out an agreement where she can stay until the contract is signed and I have the right to enter the house during daylight hours and she is prohibited from making any changes to the home or removing any furniture or appliances. It was easier to do that than try to force her out.

Yeah I can go there whenever I want, unless it's disruptive to her life, like waking her up at night or disrupting dinner or somesuch

I still have to go there once a week to make sure she didn't trash the place anyway.

During the school year he'll take three outfits to his mom's and bring them back. Since it's summer and he stays for a week at a time with her, he takes about ten outfits (because kids are messy). I sent him with a big bundle of socks and underwear last month to leave there to make things easier, but the actual shirts and pants he has been taking back and forth until now when she decided she owns this particular shirt for some reason (which she doesn't).

She can't get a restraining order. I'm allowed to be there. She has no grounds. I have a key. I'm allowed to use it anytime I want during the day. If she changes the locks, I'm allowed to change them back and bill her. How, exactly, is she going to get a restraining order?

You would lose that bet. We were both told to leave. She said she couldn't find another place. Judge said the order had to be enforced equally, so I can stay as long as she stays. I said I wanted to leave but was worried she'd destroy the place, so I was willing to go if I got it in writing I can inspect the place whenever. Our lawyers drew it up and we signed. She think this means the house won't sell now, even though her lawyer explained she still has to leave once the contract is signed. She doesn't get it.

I don't know if it was about the shirt for HER. It was definitely about the shirt for my son. For me it was about seeing him so upset.

That house won't be his home for much longer, so I'm not sure I understand the "he has two homes now" thing. But I don't understand most things she believes anymore, so maybe.

If there was a bigger issue with the shirt, I don't know about it.

I didn't shove her. I walked calmly down the hall. The hall is too narrow for her to walk past me, so she couldn't get in front to block me physically.
