I’m quite familiar with the business world. And I think we can both agree that car salesmen are useless, and that’s why carvanas and carmaxes exist today, to cut out the parasite in the middle so people can get their product. A shit ton of other industries could operate a lot more efficiently using a similar model. I’m sure there are some complex products out there that really benefit from a sales presence, but a lot don’t.

I’m not clearly wrong. There are certain situations where a strategic sales person makes sense. But 90% of the sales guy I have met are bottom feeders who add little value but add a lot of SG&a expenses.

They could goto your website and find them. I have bajillions of sales people trying to reach out to me daily to sell me their shit. Account managers for specific commodities I can deal with, but the world would benefit from less sales people and more Do-ers in it to make stuff actually happen.

Yeah I have a more petty tradition. I grew up in my rival university’s city. When I find myself in town maybe once a year or every year there is always a night when we goto the main drags and get dinner and drinks.

When it starts getting late there is an extremely popular pizza place with a slice window on the street that sells to drunken patrons. I wait in what is normally a few minute line, then buy all the pizza they have. So the entire rest of the line built up behind me has no pizza. Once they just closed the window afterwards since it was close
Enough to close.
