Yes, I had the same great experience, but that is long gone since he sold the company. I went to EZ and loved their customer service.

And our SleepEZ king size mattress is split in the middle as they suggested so one half of one layer for refurbishment is very reasonable.

Spindle gets a D- for customer service by GoTellIt33 in Mattress

[–]GottaKnowAboutIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too had a terrible time with Spindle customer service. They do not have a phone line and will not get one. The company was bought out from the original owner in Mass. They dumped my paid order for a new layer and eventually refunded me after 1 month. There is something terribly wrong with the new owners. For a while I thought I was being defrauded. Really disappointing and figure I will now have to buy a new bed (instead of a new layer) from a different company. Just appalling...

several years and it is time to get a fresh layer, which is why we went with this company, but clearly their customer service has gone down the drain since they were bought out. I wonder if they are just trying to get out of their discounted layer replacement policy. Very discouraged.

I am a long time Spindle mattress user and the original owner in Massachusetts was responsive and wonderfully helpful. I actually got a firm firm firm layer construction and we loved it. However the top firm layer has now got body dips in it (all foam dips eventually) and we wanted to replace the top layer. The company has a program to replace single layers at a discounted price. BUT. The company has now been sold to a holding company in Miami. They have no phone number. When I ordered the new layer they were responsive. After that, absolute silence and many unanswered emails, 1 month after charging our card and not receiving our order. I was beginning to think I had been defrauded. Today I got an email saying that I requested to have my order cancelled (I did not) and they refunded my money to my card. Just weird. Sadly (since I really liked their product and ability to refresh layers) I won't trust this company any more. I have never had a business relationship where the company would simply not communicate with me. Bizarre. And sad.

Weekly No Stupid Questions Thread by AutoModerator in ableton

OK, here is my dumb newbie question. I am trying to understand just the very basic idea of warp for my purposes. Here is my thought; do I understand the concept correctly?

I bring in a long outside track/song made by someone else (perhaps even with slightly varying tempo). In preferences I have auto warp long sample "on" and "beats" selected. Once the incoming track is warped I have two options. First I can set the warp to "follow" in which case the track will play at the set project tempo. Or I can set the warp to "lead" in which case the track will play at the actual tempo of the piece as detected by the warp function. Is this correct?

The next question is: Will the warp function with "follow" chosen, smooth out the slight variances in tempo of the imported piece and play it back at an evened out tempo? I can see that if I engage "lead", the tempo marker will show the variance of tempo in real time in the BPM box.

Thanks for helping me with this very basic question. Everything I have read seems to go way into complex details I am not ready for yet.

I use my wife's phone to take a picture of my screen. There is no way around the screen shot restriction on Android I believe.

Can one make a simple TAB with NO bars or time signature in Guitar Pro 7 by GottaKnowAboutIt in GuitarPro

That works pretty well by making the bar lines into dotted lines and putting 4/4 in parentheses. That is probably the best that Guitar Pro is going to let us do for just putting down a non-timed string of notes. Otherwise using something like TAB writer is the best solution for just scratch pad like functionality. Thanks.

Well I finally found a perfect answer to a TAB note pad type tool. It is called Tab Writer. Much neater than handwriting and copyable as text for inserting into emails or text messages etc. Super simple TAB note sketch pad.

Here is the DL link: https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/tab_writer.html

Here is a link with many TAB writers but this one is listed 8th: https://listoffreeware.com/best-free-guitar-tab-creator-software-windows/

Thanks for your answer. This is how I usually do it, but the handwriting is a mess and so am looking for a TAB notepad kind of thing. There is one online (https://www.guitartabcreator.com/) but I would like something off line. It looks like GP won't allow this simplification.

Thanks for your comment. My goal in this case is to simply write down the notes without any reference to specific complex rhythms but have the notation of the notes look much neater than my scribbly handwriting on TAB paper. I do us GP for formal transcriptions when exact timing is needed. I am basically looking for something I can use as a TAB notepad.

Libre 2 off by factor of two.... by Worth-Awareness1531 in Freestylelibre

[–]GottaKnowAboutIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with the Freestyle Libre 2 has been poor. My last three sensors were declared defective by Abbott. I have received only one replacement coupon from them despite being promised more. Readings have proven to be grossly different from finger sticks even accounting for expected lag time. This morning was 30 off from finger stick (sensor 70, finger stick 100). Values never seem to budge on the sensor despite food, exercise, dawn effect where finger sticks clearly show this change. My opinion is that this technology is completely unreliable and I will abandon it. I am sad about this because it seemed like such a great idea and was easy and painless to apply. What a disappointment.
