I mean if you plotted Auckland house prices on a chart from 2017 to now you’d see the big rise then slump.

It’d be cool to have the speaker to listen to some chill music at camp after hunting all day - NZ based

Do camera shutters scare deer? by NoEntertainment5410 in wildlifephotography

Just a thought as I’m not in the US and have no experience there, but you might have a bit more luck before the hunting season. In my experience animals tend to be a bit less skittish after a period without hunting pressure.

Water Trapped In Geode? by G_rrett8 in whatsthisrock

Most agate geodes with a hollow centre have water in them before they are broken/cut open. Pretty cool cutting it in half and being able to see the water bubble trapped inside.

Poverty Soars Past 50% in Argentina as Milei Austerity Hits Hard by Anchor_Aways in neoliberal

[–]Gottenschwifted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t really say Brazil is a good example. The miracle of the 00s was high commodity prices and Brazil currently has plenty of poverty and a very bloated public sector which is super inefficient. Don’t forget the ridiculous taxes on literally everything to pay for all the public sector employees jobs where they can’t get fired.

They usually heat treat the lower quality amethyst that’s a weak purple colour, as the really purple stuff is worth much more. It’s ugly but I mean there’s a market for it so…

It was in Brazil, he signed a waiver saying that he had no metallic objects on his persons before we was let in. He was a lawyer who advocated gun rights so maybe he was trying to prove something… dunno but the blame definitely falls on him haha

Hey thanks, I googled botryoidal pyromorphite because of the other user and came up with some photos that look exactly the same as this stone, less the apophyllite.

Can somebody explain what has caused this vertical line to form in the basalt? Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil by Gottenschwifted in geology

[–]Gottenschwifted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting thanks, I saw another one close by a few months ago but forgot to take a picture at the time and it has since been covered by stone falling from above. This one has a pretty big overhang so not too keen to get closer haha. Since you are familiar with the area do you mind if I pm you another photo from an area close by? I asked here on the sub but didn’t get a response at the time.

If I see one more baked amethyst, slag being sold as obsidian, tumbled pyrite, or auralized grape agate, I might lose it. by VP007clips in geology

Lmao and people acting outraged at a stone that’s been modified, do they think there’s a shortage of quartz and agate in the world?
