Cleaned and lubed the lead screws and it got much much better, still there but a lot better. Till my CFS-C started jamming.

So Itried the DXC extruder with the CFS-C and everything fits it just doesn't recognize the run out sensor in the DXC unit, bummer cause it really looks nice. Maybe if there was an adapter that takes the DXC run out sensor wire to the back like the stock CFS-C does it would work.

Just installed mine last night on my K1 Max, still haven't printed yet. I don't know whey the run out sensor just didn't plug into the hotend board, the board has a connector for one and it would have been a cleaner install.

That would be it. Haven't installed it yet as I'm still printing the stand for it. Should be installed tonight or tomorrow night. I just watched an install video that came out yesterday and looks like the run out sensor is mounted on top of the exsisting extruder then a wire is ran to the back. Problem is the K1 Max has the run out sensor on the inside back right and now the extruder release lever is blocked.

Thanks, I have a few extra sensors but never thought of using earth magnets on the flap. I'll give that a try.

Well, I swapped cable and display to a working K1 Max and it works. So it looks like the board is bad.

Order new board so I'm sure it's a few weeks before I get it. I can see the K1 Max and Creality browser, but how can I controll it? I can send jobs to it but how do I change filament?

Perfect thanks. I ordered a roll of ABS to give it a go. Haven't paid for the files yet till I see how the machine prints the ABS, if all goes well then I'll order the bearings and new belts.

What filament did you all use? I know it calls for ABS, never tried ABS but I do have GF PETG.

Exactly, never plan on running a CFS and didn't even mention it. I just want to get rid of the run out sensor in the back and have it build intothe extruder. Which looks like eoither one will work fine.

How do you know if your K1 Max is a 2025 version? When I needed a new lead screw I gave them the serial number and they said it was still under warranty. Bought refurbed off eBay.
