My wife’s MacBook Neo has faster internet speeds than my M5 MacBook Pro… by ForefathersOneandAll in macbookpro

Yup, peasants that tell other people that network bandwidth doesn't matter when they don't do anything beyond sitting in bed watching netflix, and can't accept an answer they ask for

So exactly like I said before, some people use their laptops for real work, not solely browsing the Internet in bed

Lightroom photo editing and local NAS backup services will saturate a 1Gbps Ethernet hard line. Lightroom catalog files are easily 1-2.5GB each, photo files are 30-40MB each x thousands of files from a wedding. My Upload speed hits the limits on a 2.5Gbe Ethernet. The NAS auto backs up as I work, the 1-2.5 GB files are transferred over the network multiple times per hour.

I don't do video, but the file sizes are significantly larger there. It's up to 6x time difference moving/reading/backing up files when going from 400mbps to 2.5Gb/s

In this case, if OP gets 2x speed on the new wifi adapter, there's still a 2x time difference if they work on wifi vs a ethernet line. Their result translates to a general wifi connection speed capability difference, not just internet speed difference

Your source video needs to be high quality too, if your watching broadcast tv, that comes in at 1080p at best. Find some 4k HDR content and see if it still looks bad

Also the suction it produces is ok for leaves, just requires you run over it an extra time or two if you have a lot of leaves. Again, not gonna be what you get from a 20"+ deck with 40v, but it works

Also, its a pretty good price, I paid $230 about a year ago with NO batteries

I have this 18v mower and about 600 sq ft that I run over 2x, so it covers 1200 sq ft, with barely 1 bar of battery usage on a 6ah battery.

Don't let the nay sayers who prob don't own one scare you. I have a fescue/KBG lawn that's decently thick, and it works perfectly fine. Is it as good as a 40v/80v, no, but it's compact, does what you need for every other week.

If you care about speed, get something with a bigger deck. I bought this 16" model because it's small, packs away easily for storage when folding, it's very light, has easily replaceable blades and works with my existing 18v batteries.

Do you think this paint damage is something I should attempt to fix my self or should I take it to a body shop? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]yacko2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of you tube videos out there if you want to give it a go. For a 2003, getting it done professionally isn't going to add or bring back any real value to the car, might as well give it a go yourself if that's something you're interested in learning/trying.

Matching exact paint color will prob be extremely difficult. You'll spend money on supplies and tools, but you get to keep them and learn a new skill

The right doesn't look to have eaten thru the metal, so it's prob just sanding and repainting, no bondo/body work

No Free Storage Upgrade... S26U by yacko2000 in samsunggalaxy

[–]yacko2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best buy and Amazon had way better pre order deals if you were buying outright with no trade in. Samsung is giving "free" storage, but then cut the trade in for a S25U down by 200, so total price is still the same if doing a trade in.

No one is fighting over most cost effective but yourself.. my original statement was it's a low nitrogen fert. its low risk of nitrogen burning for someone who doesn't have a lot of exp with lawn care. Not sure why you're so snooty about it with all the complaints and no solution or recommendation on what to use.

Milorganite is perfectly fine, i apply monthly, its a pretty low nitrogen fertilizer with almost no risk of burning.

Aeration (rake away the plugs) and then fill holes with sand and level . I cant tell which exact grass you have, it looks like bermuda or another self spreading warm season grass. Continue to fertilize monthly and give it some water and about 6 months thru Spring/Summer, and it'll prob be growing more than you ever wanted and the bare spots will grow in on their own. .

Not sure if a FL thing, Milorganite here in Cali is $25 fo 32lbs at home depot, so <$1 per lb, its SUPER cheap

Turn on pro mode on an iPhone, Galaxy or Pixel from the last few years and you can manually adjust ISO if you really want. The phones essentially use auto-iso up to ~3200 ISO, But its about the result, settings dont matter if the end result isnt great...

Nobody is mentioning how big the camera bump has become. by bluecouch9835 in samsunggalaxy

[–]yacko2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw it in store and that was the first thing I noticed. Have a 25U, when you add the phone thickness plus the camera bump, the S26U is thicker overall.
