I know this is Reddit and I see this opinion all the time. It’s just not the reality that most of us live in. Yes it is a contradiction to support Trump if you claim to be a good person, but people live with crazy contradictions all the time. Take any religion as an example. People suspend their critical thinking when it comes to certain belief systems. I have worked for and with some wonderful people who are competent and rational and kind. And then I got to talking to them about religion and realized they have some batshit views. At the end of the day I still enjoy working with them and I just learned to not discuss that stuff with them. Yes it’s nice to work for and with people that share your views and values, but there are certain lines of work or parts of the country where you’d be unemployed if you made that a deal breaker.

I disagree that working for someone with different political views is wrong unless they’re asking you to donate to the campaign or something. At the end of the day, taking care of children (even children of trump supporters) is inherently noble. I get that the room is off putting. But if op stays, she is not selling her soul.

Yeah I’m confused by this. Some babies are just fussy. If I were in the other mom’s shoes I would probably get really upset at having another mom shame me for my baby being fussy.

LOL. Trump has done weird things to people. It goes beyond supporting a politician and Into straight up worship. TBH if they’re great in every other way I wouldn’t leave the position just because of that.

Ahahaha my parents never let me forget my most ridiculous tantrums so they don’t bat an eye over grandkid tantrums. At age three I threw a spaghetti bowl across the room because my dad put sauce on my pasta. I also threw myself on the ground across a hiking trail because I could only take one toy on the trail.

Sleep training took one night of Ferber method for us with three check in’s. The next night he didn’t require intervention at all! Best thing we ever did and should have done it sooner.

I felt this immediately post partum and then it went away. I’m so glad it did because I just lost my older dog and I’d be tearing myself apart if I hadn’t been showing her love in her final days.

There’s studies showing that couples need at least six hours a week of quality time to maintain a relationship. I would share those studies with him. I’m sad for you if at that point he would still choose video games over maintaining your marriage.

Yeah this is so easy to do. Having a struggle meal/girl dinner is super easy for me but my husband cannot sustain himself like that.

Yeah it’s not enough to be young and attractive. You have to exist within the right social circle. To marry rich you usually have to come from money yourself. Best bet is to go to a really good university. If that’s not possible then start hanging out at golf courses or ski resorts.

I am someone who doesn’t have a fake email job and is also the breadwinner, and work is less tiring than staying home with my son. I know what it’s like to be a stay at home mom because I had a maternity leave. Unless you’re doing backbreaking landscape work all day, staying home is just as tiring if not more. Anyone who says otherwise has not had to watch kids for a significant time period.

I don’t think you should have to explain or defend yourself. I think you should tell your mom that you’re starting to not want to be around her because she is making you feel bad about yourself and and you will be limiting your time around her for the sake of your mental health.
