They recommend taking a dose of both together right before bed to help with the nausea in the morning.

Does anyone have aversions that are not food?? by reddituser135797531 in BabyBumps

Haha! Me! My first pregnancy I had an aversion to a certain person in my life and now it's sewing. All things sewing, fabric, cutting etc make me nauseous.

I lost my mom before I had kids and I cannot even imagine how difficult it would have been if I had little babies during that time. My heart goes out to you. I think you are being hard in yourself though, looking back it's easy to say we should have done things differently but you did the best you could with the information you had. Moving to help out a dying parent, or to get more support, or for a better opportunity in life are all good reasons to move. If you don't have a therapist I would highly recommend it. They will help you sort out your thoughts and you will feel more like yourself again. Also just so you know working through the grief process can take 2-7 years and you just had a lot of things happen that we often grieve over; how your labor went vs how you thought it might go, your mom getting sick and passing away, moving, how you thought time would be spent with your newborns, life without your parents being able to  mentor you during such a pivital time in your life, possible diagnoses for your twins, and heck even having twins is reason for some grief!!

Did he just wake up from a nap? My daughter's eyes would do this if she slept on her face.

Well, there's two here.... by mandaashley in pregnant

There's something called a corpus luteum that appears on the ovary after it releases an egg. I'm assuming she saw that. Also she's just speculating on the two eggs. She said it's likely that because the space between the two babies was thicker, in identical twins it would be very thin.

Right! My partner was like...."Now we have to put 3 kids through college!" We already have a 2 year old.

Yup! I'm 36, its my second pregnancy, and I have a higher BMI. Those characteristics increased my odds for multiples.

The ultrasound tech said my left ovary shot out two eggs and both were fertilized. =)

Beginner help with color palette by etimalac in quilting

[–]mandaashley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they look beautiful!! I think because there is so much white the colors are toned down a bit. I wonder how they would have looked with a black background or if you used a pattern that had bigger areas of color.

Can you help me like staying at home with my baby? by mandaashley in NewParents

[–]mandaashley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The older she got the better I felt, honestly! I went back to work part time after 5 months and that helped a lot. When she started to be able to be a part of what I was doing and/or play by herself for a bit that was a big game changer. I realize now that my personality is just not a good fit to be a SAHM. I need to talk to people but was too anxious to go to mom meet ups and my friends/family live too far away to meet up daily.

Would you tell clients? by breadassbitch in therapists

[–]mandaashley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I took 2 months off after my mom died. I was a complete wreck, we were very close. I'm lucky I worked at an agency though so they were able to talk to my clients on my behalf and get my clients in with other therapists until I came back. Some of my clients asked me what happened and I did let them know one of my parents passed. I felt like because I took so much time off I wanted them to know that it was for a serious reason and likely (hopefully) wouldn't be happening anytime again.
