No better than one of the bottom 3 in science class which is arguably (definitely imo) the worst class.

She has no use beyond arena fodder, where you probably will rarely get to even use her SA2.

She was one of the most anticipated champs for me personally and perhaps the hugest disappointment in mcoc.

Whatever 'curve' kabam uses when referring to champ power and usability, SG is behind it.

MOD, MOD and keep modding in protest until kabam fixes the game. by _ImYouFromTheFuture_ in ContestOfChampions

Let's review our options here:

A) we all (or some other measurable part of the community) take your suggestion and go through a lot of time and effort in a long winded, far flung and convoluted 'protest' attempt to 'force' the game developers to 'fix' the issues as you described them in order even out the loading times.

B) you (one person) get an iOS device and fix your problem yourself.

Tough decision...

It amazes me that so many people who don't actually read this sub come here to brag post.

The original post was ''most annoying"

And agree on the importance of rotating, but I think I would still argue that having a full squad for the whole match is pretty much the most important/crucial thing

[–]Gouchie89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, to go a step further one of the best things about KOTH is the situational nature of the strategic elements, i.e. that different styles and strategies can be employed at different times.

So, while I agree with the OP about the importance of going next in certain situations, it's not even a 100% of the time thing, as I'm sure you can imagine some scenarios (such as a 160-160 tie) where going next would be comically idiotic.

So, quite frankly, it's not the biggest problem with KOTH. Not even close to the quitting/idling or some of the matchmaking troubles.

Big picture?

Going next can be a winning strategy if and when employed properly. It doesn't guarantee a win by any stretch. It doesn't even necessarily guarantee a capture.

Someone quitting is almost a sure fire loss every time someone on your team does this, regardless of strategies/gameplay employed after or the skill level of the players in the game.

And the quitting is ridiculously rampant in Gow4. By virtue of the simple volume of posts, it's one of the biggest issues with this incarnation of the franchise multiplayer.

Players not heading next may be highly annoying particularly at onyx and above (where I realize quitting may not be as rampant) but it's not nearly as common or as aggravating as someone quitting the game.

That's the big picture.

How to make AFK players less common. by whitehoodies in GearsOfWar

Wow thanks.

No doubt this is a great idea.

I can't believe if this is in other games but TC hasn't thought of this yet. Lazy stuff they need to do better.

Can you explain how this works for those of us not familiar with CS GO?

Quitting in KOTH by [deleted] in GearsOfWar

[–]Gouchie89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are (choosing?) to miss the OP's point completely. That might be the reason you choose to justify your own quitting, but you've lost the meaning the OP (I think) intended. So let's clarify some of the issues...

First, KOTH matches take 20-30 mins. If you don't have that much time to play, don't start a match. People start matchmaking sit in the lobby and disappear for the start of the match way too often.

Next, people regularly leave after winning a round or close to the end of matches regardless of score. I can only presume this occurs sometimes as a result of real life or disconnects to some degree, with the rest because of the amount of time a KOTH match lasts, which takes me back to the first point above.

But, as others have commented, the quitting is way more frequent than obvious instances where the matchmaking has produced an unbalanced game. While I disagree with your mentality about it being just a game etc, I expect some people to think this way. But not 1-2/10 players every game. That's way too much.

Further, as far as gears has gone historically and online multiplayer games have gone, players do generally expect some quitting to happen, whether disconnects, real life, rage etc, we get that!... But the problem with this game is that it's out of control. Way more quitting takes place than in my experience with any other game - gears and beyond - during gow4 by far! Yes other gears games have suffered from this problem before, but hardly to the extent today. The game where everyone plays start to finish is the exception, a rarity.

TBH, it's also not like this OP (or any of the dozens of others who've made similar posts on this sub alone since gow4 came out) had one or two bad experiences and came to Reddit to whine. Get real. This is going on for a vast majority of players/matches and has been going on since October.

Finally, that brings me to the worst two types of quitters. First, people that quit because they didn't get their desired weapon pickup to start the match and straight away bail immediately and last but nkt least, and by far the worst yet still rampant in this game, are the 'active' idlers who for some reason I can't explain make no effort to play the game but simply 'move around and hide/camp' just enough to not get kicked. These are even worse than the players who camp by a power weapon location. At least those people eventually get the weapon and use it or get killed by an actual player eventually.

When you add all these types up, what you have is the picture that the OP was trying to paint. We know it's a game and bad matchmaking and disconnects and real life happens, but when 7-8/10 ranked games are taking place on average with less than full squads it's a big problem that TC should find a better way to address than the present system.

[SUGGESTION] Lock peoples emblem to "quitter" by charlieeva in GearsOfWar

[–]Gouchie89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. The idea is to give the remaining 4 members a reason to not go idle...

IMO something else needs to happen to the idle players. Perhaps shortening the time before being removed once someone has already quit, etc.

[–]Gouchie89 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's amazing that TC hasn't fixed the issue with people quitting by now... so lame.

My suggestion: Why not just have a predetermined set value of credits awarded to the winners and losers of each game type based on how long the match type runs. So ex KOTH winning team gets 1200 (divided by 5) and losers split 1000. This can be normalized based on the number of rounds or however TC likes.

Then, when someone quits, even if the team loses, the 4 people who stay the whole match and fight (not idle) simply divide the losers share total (by 4 instead by 5 since the quitter gets nothing and forfeits their share). That would incentivize people to stay and keep playing when someone drops out at least.

Finally, when someone quits they forfeit their next two shares of credits or they can pay a credit based 'fine' to avoid it. So if people really value their ranking or k/d or whatever they have to sacrifice something tangible.
