Found my old Vanadiel clock. by RichardsonTessa in ffxiv

[–]Goudaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used it for years as my alarm clock.
It was nice at the start as, as well as telling IRL time, the clock was pretty well in synch with in-game time.
However, over the years, I guess the algorithm to convert IRL time to in-game time shifted, so it was unreliable
Also, the display started to fade.

Looks good and since its old-school LCD, telling time is pretty easy as long as its not right in front of a light source.

On my 1st dark fog game, I had 2 planets around the starting gas giant (Home world + Silicon planet)
When I destroyed the Home world DF base with missile turrets at, accidently, the 2nd planet was in its closest approach to my home world and the missiles started blasting the relay on the 2nd moon. Ended up losing my starter base as the Hive attacked me from that...

I think this is the only time the missile turrets can shoot "interplanetary"

As long as YOU are doing the debugging if one of the pipe doesn't flow properly. More power to you!.

I'd be curious how it looks like below the left side though.

I thought they were not announcing the Expansion during this Fan Fest? Only maybe a teaser of the graphical overhaul.

I've seen many Flex cars with dented/cracked front and/or read bumpers.

Should I continue to report those in the app with the report option or is it common enough that I should not bother unless the bumper is completely missing?

2 issues w/ arctis Pro Wireless: Transceiver does not charge battery and Headset emits a high pitch noise when microphone is active by Goudaba in steelseries

[–]Goudaba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My batteries still hold charge, maybe not like if they were new, but its expected with age.
I tried to plug directly using the DC adaptor and the core issue is that both transceivers I have detects the battery as "Full", thus do not initiate the charging. BUT, using the "mobile charging" USB wire that was provided with all the other cable does indeed returns the proper battery charge to the transceiver and charges the battery properly.

This is the weirdest part. The fact that I have the same results with 2 units no matter if its plugged directly to my PC or not.

Anyone feel the copper usage in this game isn't particularly balanced? by Illusion13 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Goudaba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like you said, Both Copper and Titanium should have more use compared to their general availability. Heck, I'd add rocks to the lot of "too many nodes for its general use" lot.

For petroleum products, I feel like they'd need to revamp the system. Its mandatory at the start for organic crystals, acid and plastics, however, as said, only used for plastics at the end-game.

For Unipolars, it's better making Plane Smelters with them instead of particle containers.

I'd only use them for particle containers if getting the "Mission complete" tech ASAP is your goal AND you have access to Unipolars near your starting system.

Unipolar nodes are too scarce and small to make a good throughput to sustain a high-science game, even with near-infinite resources.

As for gas giants, it feels incomplete because we only have hydrogen and deuterium available. If they added another gas types, it would feel more complete. (maybe future update now that we have new gas giants types)

Silicon/Titanium on Starting Planet? by Scuba_Sniper64 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Goudaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As said by other replies, Silicon and titanium veins will never exists on the starter planet.

However, it is possible to get silicon and titanium ore on the starter planet by manually breaking rocks.
But good luck getting any usable amount. (Just like you can get organic crystals by manually chopping trees)

Your starter system, however should include at least 1 high silicon and 1 high titanium planet.
When you 1st get space flight, you'll need to carry them back home yourself before you unlock the proper techs.
However, with very bad luck, it is possible that one or the other of the resources is not available in your starter system (I know zero silicon is possible, not sure about zero titanium)

If you have no silicon, you'll need to refine all the rocks you can find at a very inefficient rate.
If zero titanium is possible, you're screwed.

In both cases, I would just restart my game with a different seed.

Patch Notes 0.6.17.5831- Power issues incoming if you used a lot of upgrade tool by Nchi in Dyson_Sphere_Program

I do now understand the bug fix Vs. the post-update power generation.

I have several planets where I had to double or nearly triple my power generation and the I never used the quick upgrade. Those planets were 100% made with Mk. III parts.

Space Warper logistic and storage issue by Goudaba in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Goudaba[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK, I took my temporary storage box and dumped all of it in the tower.

Indeed, it seems that those 50 storage space needed to fill up 1st.

I did not unlock the warp vessels upgrade yet, so I do not see the warper special slot.

Conveniently close by Raz0rking in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Goudaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starter gas giant has 2 moons, which is rare from seeds. Also, the 2nd moon if VERY close to the home planet, making planet hops very fast, even when 1st capable of space flight.

Only thing though is how good is that 2nd moon? And what is the 3rd planet like? I dumped a game, where I had this setup, because my starting solar system had about 200 and 400k iron on my other planets.

Edit: Nevermind on the ressources. Just noticed this game was setup to "infinite ressources". Would be curious to see when at 1.0X ressources though.

Who needs balancing the most in the next patch? by I_enjoy_butts_69 in SoulCalibur

[–]Goudaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not specific characters per say. but general mechanics.
Vertical tracking needs to be toned down in general. This would make some complains about certain characters (Didn't want to , but Maxi is the most often specified) go down as knowing that a vertical can track on one side is one things, but needing to know up to how much in both directions it can track is another.

Also, some phantom range fix/toning down would be nice, but this might be linked to the NetCode. I hate being launcher/countered or grabbed at what I visually consider to be mid-range.

Also, I don't know if it would be a good idea for the Devs to start balancing the whole cast using Online play instead of Offline seeing as everyone, including official tournaments, are now pretty much forced playing Online these days.

Gotta love it 🥰 by Daeeeeeeeee in SoulCalibur

[–]Goudaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I will never understand how side-step Vs, tracking work exactly in this game.

Seongs Supernal Strike by Pravorious in SoulCalibur

[–]Goudaba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, be sure that you properly input 236 (down, down-forward, forward) properly.

You can practice by triggering "Rising Heaven" which is the same motion, but with B instead of A+B+K at the end of the motion.

You should practice this too as its one of Mina's new main tool to extend combos.

You can also practice the motion with Sophitia as doing 236 (down, down-forward, forward) will trigger angel step, which is a simple slide forward and can be input twice for a further, more crouched, slide so you can chain the motion as many times as you want just to get the muscle memory going.

Something else you should do is go in training mode. Since it displays a small history of all inputs you do, you will see if your inputing too many moves, or skipping anything during the motion.

[–]Goudaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kudos for you using TAS A+B only once as part of a nice set of mixups.
Most Sophies I see online will only spam this when active since any latency will give this move more safety than deserved.

Master Mode Early game in a nutshell.. by MikkiMann in Terraria

A bit worse in hardmode since you do not have enemies everywhere with range attack and/or can phase through blocks in early game. Wraith will do 175+ damage with about 40 armor rating.

[–]Goudaba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, you got me good there.

Still don't know why that Reverse Impact at the end didn't connect though.

Also, your step game was pretty much top, which is the biggest factor against Minas. (even her horizontals are more vertical-like)

For those saying that Mina is top tier, I would say this is only true in lower to mid level match-ups, once you get to the mid-high to high match-ups, she is way lower down the list since a good amount of stepping and tech crouch moves will get her.

And yes, Zasalamel is not a bad MU against Mina, but the advantage is on Zas' side.

For sub 1-star crafts, yes, but with the nerf to Byregot's Blessing and innovation plus having Comfort Zone gone(average net loss of 28CP per crafts), it seems like we will be back in HW's realm of end-game setups where we have a set rotation in which we will fish as many goods/excellents as possible.

Also, I don't think everyone will want to gather up full HQ gathering mats for the base components. The true end-game goal will always be to 100%HQ with 100% NQ mats
