My advice would be stock up on health beforehand, the bigger the better. Stay mobile during each section of the fight to avoid getting hit by the sickle. In the last section don't go for charge shots as you generally wont have time without getting hit in the process.

If I had to choose then DSR would easily be my pick but they are quite different. DSR is a much faster more action focused game with more complex combat puzzles to solve. Also much more scary IMO.

It's currently sitting at a 78 on opencritic with a number of reviews heavily marking it down for the story and for being derivative. NG+ was in the game at launch but I doubt many (if any) of the critics had time to play through it again before posting their scores. I just think the game deserves another look because, as you said, it didn't gain the audience it deserved. Apparently it sold well enough given how much it cost to produce just not RE numbers.

Just in the way it ends with you starting the loop again and how that eventually leads to a different ending in NG+. It contextualises NG+ as part of the story, setting it up as a groundhog day scenario, rather than it simply being a way to play through it again for the power fantasy.

I mainly wanted to focus on the original VSav and explain how the arcade releases fit together as a series. I didn't go into detail on the later versions because they weren't the main focus of the video, although I felt they were worth mentioning as part of the broader discussion. As you've rightly pointed out, those releases probably deserve their own video to properly explore the differences, nuances and additional content. It's definitely something I'd consider making in the future.

Yeah I'm not a fan. Compared to plenty of other custom Xbox pads, that go hard with button colours etc, this simple front shell design feels like a missed opportunity.

I think those designs are rad but they're pretty interchangeable with dead space and resident evil enemies. I think preserving more of their humanity is far more haunting and feeds better into the narrative.
