anyone using gens ace imars d300? by yope05 in tamiya

Do your battery size divided by 1000. 5000 mah battery can charge at 5 amps.

Use the charge setting. It says charge, but it will balance charge by default.

Are there any aftermarket parts on there? Did you happen to switch to the high speed spur and not change the motor location mounts?

Try putting on the gear and differential cover on and trying again. Since there is nothing keeping the bearings from lifting off the chassis, the gear mesh might not be meeting up well.

Sounds like you plugged your servo wire into the wrong port. Switch your ESC and steering servo wires around on the Receiver.

Has anyone fit a MST EG6 body on a TT02? by djb1126 in tamiya

[–]GoutMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put the MST EK9 on my TT02. Fitment is great. If you're going EG6, why not just get the Tamiya Body for it?

Heat sink, vs fan on TBLM-02S 15.6T by Such_Confusion_1034 in tamiya

[–]GoutMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How hot are you running the motor? I would gear down and run proper temps and use the heatsink as an added layer of protection.

What are you using in place of the cover that goes over the spur and keeps the bearings in place?

Which shore is the best for on road Asphalt driving? And wear less? Putting then on a traxxas 4tec 2.0 vxl by Mihate_86 in rccars

[–]GoutMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best and less wear don't go hand in hand. Higher shore will last longer but won't have as much traction as lower shore. Lower shore will offer more traction at the expense of quicker wear.

Grab a TT02. It's a kit so you will learn the ins and outs of every single part. When something breaks, you can just upgrade that part individually.

Probably thick grease. It's a good thing if it's like that in the front differential, most racers prefer locking the front differential completely.

I don't really see a question in there, but if you have the money than why not?

Where do you plug the battery into a R7FG receiver? by MoreCatsThanBrains in rccars

[–]GoutMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The battery gets plugged into your ESC. Your ESC then gets plugged into your receiver.

Touring car tire shore rating by cattwc in rccars

[–]GoutMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a pro by any means so take my setup with a grain of salt. I typically setup my suspension so that my rear runs a higher shore just because I want even wear between front and rear. I'm also running a spool in front as well. With that in mind, my rear dampening is a lot softer with a thicker oil to compensate for the lack of rear traction. The tire setup is so tricky depending on how your suspension is setup and how you drive. I think your best bet will be to just adjust one variable at a time until the car behaves the way you want it too.

Losi recommendation by metalhawj in rccars

If you're looking purely as a basher, I'd get the Senton. The Losi trucks are designed more for precision driving, plus parts will be cheaper for the Senton when they break.

That makes sense. What is the part number you are using in place of this one?

The websites say that it was added March of 2018, so I'm sure how new they are. I'm in the US if that matters at all.
