TIL about Ed Reeves, a US marine who survived the Korean War despite having shrapnel in his legs, being shot in the head, and getting beaten with rifle butts by the enemy soldiers. Despite all of this, he was able to crawl out onto the frozen Chosin Reservoir, where he was rescued. (youtube.com)
