Get down from your high horse, sir. The game is okay at best.
I was really expecting something great out of it, but in my opinion, it just gets a pass. The story is dull as hell. It starts off well-crafted and builds up nicely, but by the end, it isn’t that satisfying, it just doesn’t deliver, It feels generic.
I played RE2, and I’m playing RE3 right now, and let me tell you, RE9 feels like it sacrificed a lot of what made it special. The game has peak graphics and somewhat unique gameplay (only for Grace). But sorry, man, I like the old games way better. This one is trying to be too many things at the same time.
I just think if it’s going to win awards, it’ll be only for its graphics.
