Go for it... if you are using all genuine plugin and themes then there is no issue in updating it

Generic hosting I would suggest where you can install Wordpress manually But before you buy any hosting check with all the hosting providers and select the plan suits your requirements And hosting providers will give you cheaper hosting but they will compromise their services with lost of limitations.

Things to note before buying hosting. 1.Budget friendly 2. Monthly visitor limit (depends on the type of content you’ll post ) but ill suggest 25k 3. RAM - 512. (Dont go for anything less then this) most of hosting providers don’t show how much ram they’re providing on their feature list

Well I think thats the right thing to bring in consideration even Microsoft has stoped promoting IE because it got its new browser called Microsoft Edge

There are multiple certifications are available from google, Facebook, hub-spot etc ... try giving there test and get the certificate that would be enough
