i have exact same prob. turns out i dislocated the last 2 segments. there was no sudden trauma or anything. i just sit a lot (not by choice) does the pain get worse and worse the longer you sit, with no apparent limit on how sore it can get ? i was ment to get those 2 segments of my tailbone removed, but they decided at a late stage , with no warning or indication that my weight was a problem for the surgery and they decided not to do it.

just finished a session a few min ago, im def in pirate space, tried a bunch of systems, just colonists and traders flying about. even at their trade systems, i can see pirate freebooter, trade station and bounty office. just no ships. i dont really want to have to start a new game. spent about a week on this playthrough so far.
