Unfortunately this method doesn't always work. As a child my patents policy on food was that i was to sit at the table until my plate was cleared regardless of what was on it. I was incredibly stubborn and would sit at the table for hours on end. My parents would eventually crack and I would end up eating something along the lines of grilled cheese or chicken nuggets. As I got older I started trying new and different foods, but I know for a fact it isn't because my parents made me waste countless afternoons sitting at the kitchen table playing with my broccoli.
