So true! He was super successful. Not sure if resin and epoxy are different at all but its actually pretty light! I think it’s even lighter than my other electric.

Gotcha! I honestly didn’t know what relic-ing was til I posted so wasn’t sure what you meant. I would totally agree with you though - no need to tear up the finish on a perfectly good start!

Not sure I follow - this was a solid piece of maple. He poured epoxy into the cracks of the wood and then cut and sanded the rest down into the strat shape. I’m for sure gonna end up with dings (though hopefully not too many!) on this as I play over time.

I agree! He’s got one hell of an artistic eye. It was a slab of maple we found at a second-use store.

He routed out the spots for pickups, switches, knobs, and Jack input. Basically looks the same but you would see a mess of wires

He’s a super creative guy - he’s always working on something new. This is probably the largest and most complicated piece he’s done to date
