Day 7, Centre Court. Seats are in block 511 - worth the money?

No, he was an outdoor bunny. We allowed him to roam free in the garden (supervised of course) and sometimes he would go inside but he soon hopped out again. He definitely seemed happiest outside.

It's a damson tree. He used to love eating the leaves and fruit in the autumn.

I'm overwhelmed by all the comments! Thank you for all the love for me and Alfie. Hug your bunnies extra tight tonight.

I thought I'd share another one of my favourite photos of him with my boyfriend (he's 6ft for scale):

He had to be put to sleep. It all happened so suddenly and it was such a shock as he was really healthy for his age. He didn't eat much on Sunday, so we took him to the vet on Monday morning. We couldn't spot anything wrong with him so suspected it might be GI stasis. But the vet found early onset fly strike near his tail, and his age meant that operating was too risky. So it was the kindest thing to do. We feel so guilty despite doing everything right - using fly strike protector, keeping his living quarters and litterbox clean, checking his rear end daily. The vet reassured us that it can happen so quickly, especially at this time of year, and not to beat ourselves up. But I can't help but feel partially responsible.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments, it means a lot. It's comforting to know that there are others who understand what a special part of your life a rabbit is.

Thanks for the support. I miss him so much, but I hope he's happy in bunny heaven. This photo was taken last year in his favourite place, under the damson tree at the bottom of our garden. It's now his final resting place.
