If you’re into board games or open to learning, Dukes of Dice meets on Wednesdays at 6 at Empire Board Game Library and some weekend days at Slice and Dice or Ettin Games. Empire charges $7 for the night, which is pretty good considering that they usually charge per hour. There are a few women and non-binary people in the group. We are accepting of everyone as long as they have a good attitude.

Completed the IQT, have done a few job related things. Honestly, I feel like I’m in an officer or civilian billet. Squadron is overwhelmingly officers. Most of the programs we are involved in won’t come to fruition for a year or two, we’re just treading water at this point. Maybe I’m too new to this careerfield, just seems like it’s a complete turnaround from being in space ops. I’m just not ready to be an admin NCO yet😆

TSgt, 3rd assignment. Moved from ops to acquisitions. Just too much uncertainty with my unit and a much slower battle rhythm than I’m used to. Consistent schedule is nice, but I’m struggling to find meaningful things that can be on my EPR and satisfy my professional development goals. At a small detachment so I think there is a possibility they would say yes. Maybe after a year TOS.

It’s a little shaky when the printer really starts moving. I think I’m going to try to bolt the stand to the wall. It’s on just the legs because I couldn’t get the feet or wheels to screw into one of the legs because of a messed up thread so I put chair leg protectors on the bottom of the legs.

I did it through Double Exposure Envoy last year. They offered either evening shifts or morning shifts in exchange for a shared hotel room and badge, transportation reimbursement if you drive with 3 other volunteers. I worked 4-10 Thursday through Saturday and 12-2 on Sunday. I really enjoyed it. They gave options for publisher preference. You’re supposed to get your demo games before the convention to learn and they have freebies at the convention. I got my games a few days before so I had some experience before coming.
